cristoslc Posted January 24, 2012 Share Posted January 24, 2012 I'm having issues chaining my boot from Chameleon --> Windows. I followed the instructions here for my initial setup: http://www.osxlatitude.com/dualbooting-osx-and-windows/ After installing Windows 7, my computer can boot normally to Windows 7. If I boot off the USB key, I can use Chameleon to select the MacOS partition and boot to 10.6.0. BUT: When I use Chameleon (off of the thumb drive) to select the Windows 7 partition, I get the error "Non-system disk | press any key to reboot". Using Chameleon (off the thumb drive), I can boot to my Mac OS partition. I downloaded the Chameleon (v2.0 RC5 r665) installer from http://www.osxlatitude.com/creating-a-usb-pen-with-osx-installation/ and installed it on my 10.6.0 partition. After re-installing Chameleon, I can boot normally to my OS X partition; but I get the "Non-system disk" error again when I try to select the Windows partition. I am able to use the instructions here (https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/601-19-problems/page__p__4021#entry4021) to use Windows diskpart to mark different partitions active. By doing this, I can enable EITHER Windows or (Chameleon). But no matter what I do, I can't chain the boot from Chameleon --> Windows. I've searched around quite a bit, but can't find anyone with identical symptoms & a resolution. I'm not sure if this is related, but Suggestions? What other information might help solve this?
