I installed the kext into L/E only. I didn't put it into the EFI disk, should I put it also into the folder kexts in my efi disk ? Jonah Cabaye Posted July 5, 2018 Share Posted July 5, 2018 But I want to notice that I tried to install high sierra on an external hard drive, with the bios settings "raid" and not "ahci", and it worked well, the sound worked too. The problem is that when my bios is in RAID mod, the high sierra installer doesn't recognize my internal ssd. The only way to recognize it is to put my bios in AHCI mod. And when I try to boot from my external usb hard drive with AHCI mod, I have no sound, but when I boot in RAID mod I have sound. I don't understand why... I also want to notice that the other kexts that I installed for an old wifi card and for the trackpad are working good. The only problem is the sound... Thank you for the raid, I think if I can boot into raid mod from my internal ssd it will work and the sound too. But for the moment I can only boot with AHCI with the internal.
