jadajada Posted February 18, 2012 Share Posted February 18, 2012 I have a working SL 10.6.8 on my D430. Upgraded to edp 1.9.2 and all is still well. Can I upgrade this straight to Lion or do I have to go through the routine with myhack and start fresh? I have a Lion USBinstaller (unmodified) from AppStore that I can use. If I can just upgrade, do I install edp 2.2 before or after Lion is installed? As far as I can tell the D430 is capable of running Lion. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm not sure if you can just upgrade (haven't really bump into someone or article on upgrading) but for me i prefer a fresh install. You'll need to transfer the Lion USB Installer to another usb (e.g. using latest xfail), install bootpack and chameleon and run the installer. After lion is installed, you'll need to install EDP, rebuild you mkext and with good luck boot into an all new OS X lion. Well, that's how to do it in general. Check out the wiki for details. Cheers!
