Dell Latitude 5580 unable to boot into recovery mode

Recommended Posts

Hello guys, I am currently running macOS Mojave 10.14.6 on my Dell Latitude 5580. Its starting to get a bit slow so I attempted to boot into recovery mode and restore Time Machine backup. To my dismay my recovery partition isn’t booting up. It is shown in the Clover Menu but every time a panic results and the system restarts. I can however boot to macOS perfectly. Kindly someone point out the possible issue?

P.S. I had the hackintosh bootable USB at the disposal but I just want the recovery partition to work right from the HDD.

At Clover gui, press O to get to Options.

Go down to Graphics Injector and select it

Select FakeID and platform-id and change it to 0x12345678

Go back to main menu and select Recovery Mode
