Hi everyone,

1. My battery duration is very very low and battery is new (about 1 hour)

2. I have Intel hd 4000 + Nvidia NV5200 but I think that Nvidia is not full recognized.

how can I know if Nvidia card is ok?

There's someone that can help me , please ?

Thanks in advance!🤟

NVS 5200M is Fermi and has no support beyond El Capitan so you need to disable it. If you browse through the numerous threads and posts in relation to those E6x30 models with nVidia dGPU, you'll find the SSDT table required to disable it.

Once dGPU is disabled, you'll find your battery life improves.

nv_disable boot parameter does not actually disable the dGPU like a DSDT patch or a dedicated SSDT will (by powering it off), it just signals the OS to ignore it and not load drivers so that OS X/macOS will run graphics in VESA mode only.

Please use the forum Search tool/facility to seek the SSDT table that disables NVS 5200M dGPU in Latitude E6x30 laptops.

Looks like you already have all the files needed in the EFI you attached. You just need to boot with DSDT1.aml

So rename DSDT.aml to something meaningful like DSDT-Optimus.aml

and rename DSDT1.aml to DSDT.aml

Reboot. It should have the nvidia disabled.

aaah ok! so good! I try it now and it work fine....I think ;-)

now I have only to check battery duration.

but in your opinion which version would be better to have on my dell e6430?

EDIT:

I try to change brightness with Fn + up down keys and don't work after DSDT change
