After much experimentation, research, testing, and many setbacks.

my DELL Latitude 5510 now runs nearly perfect.

Hardware Specs:

  • DELL Latitude 5510 BTX - (Build to order)
  • CPU Intel i7-10610U @ 2,3GHz
  • SK Hynix NVMe BC511 512GB
  • 16GB DDR4 RAM 2666 MHz
  • BIOS Version 1.5.1
  • 15,5" FHD Display
  • 3x USB 3.0
  • 1x USB-C+Sw
  • 1x HDMI
  • Integrated Webcam
  • Intel Wi-Fi AX201
  • Intel I219LM Gigabit LAN
  • extern: DELL Universaldock D6000 via USB-C

Software:

opencore 0.7.0

MacOS Catalina 10.15.6

what works:

Keyboard with backlight

graphics with full accelleration (QE/CI)

HDMI-out in FHD

Sound+Mic

LAN

WLAN via USB-Dongle (Azamon)

USB-Ports

Battery status

Touchpad

Touchpad-Buttons

additional:

via DELL Universaldock D6000:

LAN

USB 3.0

USB-C

HDMI

not working:

Bootmenu in Text-Modus only, GUI not appear - config seems to be correct

WLAN internal

Sleep/wake - not really important, powermanagement deactivated

future plans:

Dual-Boot Catalina+Windows 10 via OC
(i know that dual-boot on the same drive ist not recommended, but i need this)

questions:

1. How to GUI my Boot-Menu

2. best practice Dual-Boot with Windows via OC?

3. how to use the internal wifi?

4. what i need to optimize?

Thanx for your EFI.

The boot-menu now appears - (and its ugly, sorry)

thirst it wont boot - i must change Misc > Security > SecureBootModel to Disabled - otherwise no boot-process

after this change it boots and all other things are working, exept internal WLAN (not nessesary - but nice to have)

the boot process is slower as with my EFI

@Baio77

can you give me some info, what you have changed

i see you used OC 0.7.0 and different ACPI-patches.

After some little changes my internal Wifi works fine

USB ports are different then in my config (internal webcam is not showing in the USB-tab of Hackintool) - but in System-Report all devices are shown correctly. 🤔

THX @Baio77

this EFI stuck on the progress bar, the system hung up and i need to power off.,

OK - no problem.

You've helped me so much.

with your first EFI everything is working, its nice and fast enough.

At this moment all other work is fine tuning but not really nessesary.

Thank you for your help - i finalize this project.

I know it's boring, but in response to my EFI I always need Ioreg, it is essential for the correct functioning and to be able to help you better, I DON'T have a PC like yours and therefore I don't know if I'm doing well or badly
