Hello dear OSXLatitude Community,

I am here to ask someone for help, I don't really know the rules so don't blame me if I didn't know something.

I have had problems with my Hackintoshing since a very long time now, I tried Opencore, Clover with gibmacos, Monterey, BigSure, Catalina, High Sieera, nothing really worked. If helping someone is prohibited I will just ask for an installation guide, If helping isn't prohibited please PM me i will add you on discord so we can chat, if you have or have had the same laptop as mine it would be better, even if not, you're still welcomed, everyone is!

I want to hackintosh into High Sieera or Catalina, patch everything I need there and go through the Post-Installation process and then update to either BigSur or Monterey if im on Catalina, do the patching and Post-Install there and were done, If I have to install High Sieera then this process is then repeated but with Catalina and then from Catalina to BigSur or Monterey.

This is all mainly for educational purposes because I want to learn more about Computer Science and so on

Post your system's specs. If you have Windows, then run dxdiag.exe, export and attach it here.

High Sierra is the last fully supported HD3000 for Sandy Bridge although you can still install Mojave and Catalina, there will be some glitches.

HD3000 being the poor iGPU that it is, you'd be struggling with Big Sur and even more so with Monterey. As Jake stated, High Sierra is last macOS version to support HD3000 graphics. You can get it supported in Mojave with a patch fairly simple to install. It gets far more complicated with Catalina (see my Latitude E6220 guides). Beyond Catalina, i.e. Big Sur and Monterey, you're likely to meet further difficulties and instability so those are really not recommended on an old HD3000 laptop.

I've put my hands on an Monterey E6520 EFI (i5-2520m version supposedly) but neither this works, it just boots me into the "Apple Logo" and takes about 45 minutes to finish the progress bar and then just stops.

EFI.rar was the out of the box EFI I got from the guy. I edited that EFI for my system and still not working and renamed it MYEFI.rar

I made one (MYEFI.rar) myself based on his and boots up into the apple logo but has some problems, apple panic and a log file is created in which it says:

"00:000 00:000 LNX: Does not appear to be root filesystem - Not Found
12:989 12:989 Dependency com.apple.iokit.IOHIDSystem fallback to com.apple.iokit.IOHIDFamily succeeded. Please fix your kext!
13:667 00:677 Dependency com.apple.iokit.IOHIDSystem fallback to com.apple.iokit.IOHIDFamily succeeded. Please fix your kext!"

(THE LOG SHOWED UP HERE IS FROM MY EFI!)

(I'll upload My EFI (MYEFI.rar) in a second, it won't allow me to upload another one.)

DxDiag.zip EFI.rar

MYEFI.rar

I'm really only trying to learn difficult skills, It's mainly for educational purposes... for now, once I get the hang of Opencore, I'll make myself a machine perfectly working and I'll try to help out the community and maybe even develop in the future!
