mibdom Posted November 17, 2012 Share Posted November 17, 2012 hi guy, after i see the Dell M4300 in ML 10.8 support with EDP, i just buy an Dell M4300 secondhand yesterday. and i started to install this with the way 1. i created an usb boot disk just like the guide in myhack http://myhack.sojugarden.com/guide/ i have download the orig. installed.dmg ML 10.8.2 myhack says the usb is successfully installed. 2. i have downloaded the Bootpack from downloadcenter for M4300 ML http://www.osxlatitude.com/edp/bootpack/ 3. i used my hack again to install extras folder just like the guide says. Now that you have created your USB installer with myHack, we need to put the EDP bootpack on it. Download the EDP bootpack, customized for your system! Our bootpacks contain almost every kext (driver) you need, except the battery and audio driver. Our target is to make the install as easy as possible, so we excluded high risk factors during installation. Open myHack again and choose: “Install Extraâ€. Choose as target volume the USB installation pen. Choose “Use My Own†and select the Extra folder, from the downloaded bootpack. Quit myHack and eject your USB pen, you are ready to go! and then i boot the laptop form usb. i saw the Chameleon bootloader screen and booted with -v so it stop hier Acpi: system state s0 s3 s4 s5 pfm64 (36 cpu) 0xf80000000, 0x80000000 Pci configuration begin the Capslock key still funktional. until 20 minuets later, my laptop completely freezed. please help me~ sorry for the poor English, i am Germany. thanks a lot. Administrators Hervé Posted November 18, 2012 Administrators Share Posted November 18, 2012 The M4300 is pretty much a D830 with a professional graphics card (Quadro FX 360m vs. Quadro NVS 135m/140m) When you start the USB key installer and you see the scrolling blue bar, press [ENTER] and type: USBBusFix=No npci=0x2000 -v See if that helps. I'd also recommend that you look at the BIOS settings for the D830 nVidia and configure your BIOS in an identical manner. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Did you mount the 'install ESD' image/package from within the ML image? is there something bad with my CPU ? Some says, the intel core 2 duo no Lang supported by mounten lion? 10.8.2 ? mibdom Posted November 19, 2012 Author Share Posted November 19, 2012 I just have download the os 10.7 orig install dmg image And with the support driver pack in download center.after I deleted the 2 apple intel CPU kexts And disabled the elliteforce.kext It comes the install welcome screen Then I got an keyboard issue Make it right with voodoo An the end I have now 10.7 installed But still no way to 10.8..... Read this, it says it all! http://forum.osxlati..._300#entry14063 Buy it, it's only 18€... Nothing wrong with your 2.2GHz T7500. That'll run ML all right.
