Administrators Hervé Posted November 8 Administrators Share Posted November 8 You go to the AppleALC repo/site, then to its wiki page and you look up the identified audio codec in the list. You’ll see a given set of audio layout ids to use and you then try them in your bootloader’s config until you find the id that provides you with full/expected audio features. https://github.com/acidanthera/applealc/wiki/supported-codecs You may experiment with any of those stated layouts (from 3 to 76) and see which one fits the best for your system. This is done in the following manner: 1) inject AppleALC kext (it's a PlugIn of Lilu kext which is therefore required) 2) in your bootloader's config, whether OpenCore or Clover, you may insert boot arg alcid=<xx> or, alternatively, but it's more technical and complex, inject properties including layout id against the codec device PCI location
