Administrators Hervé Posted November 18 Administrators Share Posted November 18 All you need to do is: place the AppleALC kext (not a plist!) in your OpenCore kext folder inject it into macOS by adding the reference to the AppleALC kext in your OpenCore config (below the Lilu kext in the list) add/test the various layout ids one by one in your OpenCore config Remember to reset NVRAM at OpenCore Picker when you reboot after making a change to the OpenCore config. You have all the links you need on p1.
orotenrandy
sorry what do you mean by inject it into macOS by adding the reference to the AppleALC kext in your OpenCore config (below the Lilu kext in the list) I have 2 plist config.plist files not one
Administrators Hervé Posted November 22 Administrators Share Posted November 22 You have a lot of reading and learning to do... Only the OC config file called "config.plist" is used/loaded. It's the file you need to edit to add the references to all the kexts you want to load/inject into macOS. Unless you do that, you can add all the kexts (drivers) of the world in the kexts folder, it'll do nothing.
