I have to manually load the kext sudo kextload I8kfan.kext Then load the I8kfanGUI Are you using nullcpmanagement.kext and emulated speedstep ? schmatzo Posted February 5, 2012 Share Posted February 5, 2012 My fan is driving me nuts, because its constantly running and i8kfan can't stop it. (always reset to default after 1-2seconds) I used coppershims and AS-5 to lower temperature, but fan is still running like hell. Is it possible to downgrade die BIOS for lower Fanspeed?
