[03/03/2011] - D430 BIOS rework

So guys... im playing around with modifying the bios itself to change splashscreen...

 

Changelog:

 

Uploaded modified Bios without DSDT insert...

insert latest DSDT from 1.6 RC1 built - D430_OSX.ZIP

changed splashscreen to new apple logo with black background

 

insert SLIC 2.1 for Windows 7 / Vista

 

changed Version from A09 to OSX :D

 

delete branding

Changed splashscreen - not final

 

Added latest rc DSDT into Bios - works without DSDT.aml in S/E

Works like a charm, a few things to clear up:

 

* Background color

* Text color

 

Questions:

* Have you tried to re-add the system password.. does sleep still work ?

Good and bad news from Bios hacking section...

 

Today I insert the DSDT from latest RC into Bios and what shall I say - I can boot without DSDT in Extra...

 

Only mess is that only external LCD work at moment...

 

If someone here who can explain me what i can do, to activate built in LCD - no fear - I will try...
