Hi, I'm greencoulee2, and I've been a Hack-a-holic since February 2011.

I originally followed a lifehacker website build to make a triple boot W7, linux, OSX Snow Leopard (10.6.4, since updated to 10.6.8 with no problems) build that worked great until recently. I added an OCZ SSD drive, reloaded Windows7 on it, and left OSX 10.6.8 and linux on the Seagate 1.5tb drive. OSX slowed down, and my kids asked for me to update to Mountain Lion. After struggling I realized that this is the site I should be following, and Conti seems to be the true source. I had ML running with glitchy sound late last night, booting on it's own, and then made a bad mistake and disabled AppleACPIPlatform.kext. Now I can only boot with a usb and get to a terminal and disk utility.

My specs: ASUS P7P55D-E Pro, i7-870, Nvidia 9500 GT, 8gb DDR3-1600, Seagate Barracuda 1.5tb, OCZ Vertex 120gb SSD

Experience: Been using Unix since about 1988, know my way around. Been playing with Linux since the mid 90s. Was dual booting Unix and ms operating systems on PCs back in 1990. Most of my experience started from using CAD/CAM computers in manufacturing environments.
