E6230 Boot Hung on Bluetooth

Ha. So I used the wizard to put those flags in, and manually edited the plist file to add the IntelCapriFB bit...

Now I'm booting and sitting at a Mac Logo with a spinning wheel (not the colored one) and it's not booting into my system.

Before rebooting, everything worked fine.

I very much appreciate the help you guys are giving me. Everything seems to be going smoothly, just have a few bumps I need to figure out.

Booting with the manual flags worked, so I'm going to try again.. see what happens.

Ok, sorry for the delay. I ended up reformatting and doing everything again. After the OSX installation, everything booted up.

Which, of course, leads me to my next issue ;)

The system booted in normal mode. My next step was to install EDP. I did this. I took the defaults for a 6220 (model database) and ran EDP. myHack finished and I rebooted my machine. Booted back into normal mode and then the system froze.

I'm going to boot into my USB installer again and run myfix, but do you all have any ideas?

EDIT** Booting into the Installer and running myFix, InstallExtras seems to have resolved that problem.

I think i'm straight now. A few issues, one being WiFi remain. Not sure what card I have, need to check that.

The second issue is my right USB3.0 ports. They are non-functional. They actually cause the OS to freeze if I plug something into them. I've tried searching and using EDP to install the kexts, but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

From terminal, enter lspci -nn and display result here. Most likely it's an Intel Centrino and it's not supported. Replace it with an Atheros or Broadcom.

Hmm, are you sure you have an E6220 not an E6230? I though USB 3.0 only appears on Exx30 models.

My E6220 has (2) USB 2.0, (1) HDMI, and (1) eSata port.

Anyway, try solution here.

I'm rebuilding EDP right now based on the "correct" package :)

Although, it does say i7 in EDP, when I only have an i5.. any issues forseen there?

Check E/E and see if ApplePS2Controller is there. If it is, try running myHack/myfix (full). Then reboot.
For the E6230 model, you could try using my Extra files here or link on my signature under E6430.
Although you have a Broadcom Wireless card, that model is not supported. Personally I have DW1510 which works OTB.
