D830 and OS X

Hi,

I want to install OSXon my Dell D830 with nVidia. I am confused which version will be the best option for me. Lion, Moution Lion or Mavricks? All versions might be supported by my system but which one is faster and more stable on D830 laptops with nVidia cards?

I have only one system (D830) and I am running Windows 8 on it. Win8 is super fast and I love it. I just want to try OSX. I will install OS X on a diffrent partition and will dual boot it with Windows 8.

So any suggestions? Which version should I install? Or should I skipp this OSX? Is it safe to install OSX on D830?

My system specifications are:

DELL Latitude D830

Core 2 Duo @ 2.20GHz T7500

128MB NVIDIA Quadro NVS 135M

120GB SATA

There is no "best" version per sé, it's often a matter of taste or required/desired features but Snow Leopard will run fastest without a doubt.

All the other versions will run well, but users often report that Mav 10.9 runs faster than ML 10.8 which itself is often reported to run faster than Lion 10.7. With a SSD, sufficient RAM and a decent CPU (T7500 or better), all recent OS X versions will run pretty decently on a D830 nVidia.

Thanks for your reply. I think I will go Mountain Lion. Lets see how it will work.
