asus k56cm sound too low

hi guys.

i have installed ml on my laptop but i think that sound is too low. i'm using voodoohda for audio but the newer version of this kext has some quality problem ( for me, at least ) so, i'm using an old one.

is there any other kext which you can suggest or any solution for this problem ?

i have already set vectorize and halfvolumefix true in info.plist

and i'm also having this every boot up

ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out
WARNING: IOPlatformPluginUtil : getCPUIDInfo: this is an unknown CPU model 0x3a
  -- power management may be incomplete or unsupported

what is that mean, and what can i do for it ?

thanks in advance

How did you install ML on your system? Which method?

You CPU could be unrecognised because of the boot loader you use. Which is it, which version?

Regarding audio, which version of VoodooHDA do you use? Did you try to edit the kext's plist to increase parameter iGain to say 90 or 100?

i will give it a try (igain)

i have installed with clover bootloader, but i couldn't find any information about version in config.plist in efi partition :|

regarding igain, i should set halfvolumefix false back or it should be still remained as true ?

i found the information about bootloader version on bootloader menu's about section, which says, rEFIt version 2.09

and it looks like, it knows my cpu ( it is showing me correct information about my cpu )

and i also found a file named version.txt in doc directory, which contains,

Clover_v2_r1193

guess it's more acceptable information :)

and the voodoohda version is 2.8.0, i installed this because the newer version 2.8.4 gave me cracklings

thanks in advance

look here: http://clover-wiki.zetam.org/Configuration/ACPI#SSDT-/-DropOem

ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out

this message is that you do not have a correct SSDT.

send me your config.plist+ioreg.ioreg
