I am having problems with my D620. I install via the USB method on the front page, and install the 1.9.2 EDP, then run the EDP to do kexts and chameleon, then try rebooting and it goes to a black screen after the osx latitude splash screen, if I boot to the USB stick and pick hte hard drive I get similar symptoms. I tried safe mode.

I also reinstalled and installed the kexts and chameleon, and then let it update to 10.6.8 v1.1 and get same results, what am I doing wrong?

check your bios version and update it to latest, while your in your bios double-check your graphics card info. gma or nvidia and build edp for your model/graphics type. l if resolution is higher than 1200x800 then search forum for a high res dsdt for your model/graphics type i th there might be some floating around here some where...

can only get read only access to bios, used laptop and I dont know the bios password, from searching, it appears I have to pay dell to recover it for me?

I installed 10.6 again from the usb stick, and it shows I have 1440x900 for resolution ona nvidia card. so I am sure that is the right card. installed the versionof chameleon that is in the 1.9.2 EDP, and it gives me the error about your computer must be shut down when I reboot with no other changes made. but it still boots off the USB stick and then select the harddrive. so guessing it is something in the kexts that stops me from booting. everything seems to work other than I cannot boot with the base install. I have sound and wireless.
