With default MacOSX (myHack or any other boot loader) I can't get into setup screen (just reboots due to Haswell CPU), I've found bootpack for E5440 and I've changed CPU from i7 to i5 (found on forum), now Dell start up to setup screen (with DVD removed and only from hard drive) but when I want to install OS I got "The OS X installation couldn't be completed" and along with it panic(CPU 2 caller). I've tried almost everything what I managed to find but no luck. Any has similar laptop and managed to install Mac on it ??? I've attached screen of errors :/ Rebuild your Installer, when you get the prompt to patch MBR, select NO. But I want to use MBR and I can't method how to apply MBR patch correctly to MyHack (link in that thread links to totally different method, I can't use it as I need to use downloaded patch for my laptop). I will be looking into it shortly. I've managed to install Mac OS X, after many tries. But seems that Intel WiFi is not working (6235) and also Audio (ALC3226) is not working. Administrators Bronxteck Posted June 29, 2014 Administrators Share Posted June 29, 2014 intel wifi will not work in osx. you need to replace the wifi card. for audio try VoodooHDA 2.8.5 if you have issues with it you have to modify the info.plist inside the kext to suit your needs.
