E6420 update to 10.11.4 El Capitan

I just ran into the problem after updating my Hackintosh E6420 from 10.11.3 to 10.11.4. I updated by the dmg file from Apple server today.

I am using Clover legacy bootloader. First, there is no audio after updated. Second, I can't boot into El Capitan without using boot parameters -v -cpus=1.

If I boot without these parameters, there will be kernel panic and restart automatically.

Have anyone experienced the same problem? Let's discuss.

The update reinstates the vanilla AppheHDA kext so if you were using a patched kext in /S/L/E, it got overwritten. It's a simple matter or re-applying the IDT 92HD90 patch which is readily available.

For the other issue, no idea, it's kind of weird. Sounds like your bootloader config is not optimum or that you do not have correct CPU power management. Post your EFI folder and advise on add-on kexts added to /S/L/E or /L/E.

I updated all my systems last night and everything went smoothly.

Thanks, Herve. Can you point out the link for the IDT 92HD90 patch? I can't find that.

However, there is a chance that I use the combo update from Apple so it broke up the system. Many people recommend to use only AppStore to update.

Here is my EFI folder.

Same issues here, the KP shows a thing with CPU "X" Caller, We doing something wrong? (the "X" is usually no.2 4 or 5 for me.) I'm using a Dell Latitude E6420 with an Intel Core i7 2670QM, 2x4GB Ram 1600MHz, 1600x900 screen and a 256GB SSD. Once booted everything works fine.

Also I seem to have USB problems when I boot directly from SSD, when I boot using the Install USB everything works as it should.

good morning to all, yesterday I made a mistake: I upgraded el capitan (bootclover) from the app store on my e6420; It appeared to restart the following error and resets itself:post-89988-0-31665300-1459251493_thumb.jpg

so I decided to reinstall el capitan again, following Jake guide (very helpful by the way) so I downloaded el capitan from the app store but the latest version, and then: the first part of the installation is spun smooth like oil, but on reboot from ssd it was presented the same mistake. Someone has already had the opportunity to confront this problem? and how it has solved? Thanks in advance.
