Well done Hervé! Ethernet enable now in Network Preferences :-P

Another little step, I'm writing actually from Mavericks.

What remain?  Wi-fi card, no hope for this kind?

Dvd App error..but I can listen and watch only the App crash.

No Monitor Preference...

No Sleep when I close up cover...

Vga not works...

Thank for all and for patience, any suggestion?

Update to 10.9.5 and now reboot and stop here!

What happen?

Edit: Solved by myself

Remove all IntelHDGraphics kext

Then boot -s

Type this command

fsck -fy

mount -uw /

mkdir /intelhd_backup

cd /System/Library/Extensions

mv AppleIntelHD* AppleIntelSNB* /intelhd_backup

reboot

I've installed CI kext 10.9.5 and now it's Ok again.

  • Administrators
  • DVD player needs full graphics acceleration to run, so no hope in your case.
  • VGA and Monitor PrefPane are probably linked to absence of framebuffer. Don't expect any fixes here...
  • For wireless, please read the FAQ section.
  • As for Sleep not working when you close the lid, it can depend a several things: defective or disconnected sensor inside the laptop, absence of Sleep altogether (need CPU power management as a pre-requisite), need for DSDT/ACPI adjustments, etc. Check that Sleep works through Apple menu and/or Fn-F1 or Fn-Esc to begin with. You also need to be aware that even if you got Sleep to work, you may encounter graphics nastiness (garbled screen and subsequent need to reboot) on wake. That's what happens on old GMA-based systems that run 64bit versions of OS X without full graphics acceleration.

Remember that this will never be a good Hackintosh...

For DVD and VGA I don't care so much.

Wi-Fi card is Intel, so I search in the Bay one supported from your list, mini or half?

Sleep: sleep works with Fn+1 key but not when I close the lid..... But I'm sure this is not an hardware problem because actually I've installed Backbox in dual boot and sleep with lid is perfect in Linux.

Thanks.

Change Intel Wi-fi card with an Atheros ar9280 and now Wi-Fi and Bluetooth works both!

I think this is the best I can obtain from this Dell, so this is the end I hope for this Topic.

Thank's to everyone for support and just one thing, what's happen in these days? Database error for almost a week?
