  1. I upgraded to r3330 and everything seems to be fine now, thank you. Ctrl + Power button even works. I think the only last thing you can make work is the trackpoint, but I still have yet to find a good kext for that.
  2. I downloaded your new CLOVER.zip, replaced the CLOVER folder with my existing one, but things just went haywire. Suddenly now keyboard, trackpad and audio no longer works. Lid sleep doesn't work either. What did I do wrong? BTW, can you tell me exactly what you changed to get lid sleep to work? Thanks.
  3. Hmmm... do you think it has anything to do with Clover? Have you tried Chameleon and seeing the power button and lid sleep works? The only reason I switched to Clover was because I couldn't load any kext in Chameleon in Extras, and had issues loading them in S/L/E too.
  4. Closing the lid on my D830 doesn't sleep the computer or turn off the screen. Is it the same with yours?
  5. I noticed the power button on the laptop no longer works to acess the shut down dialog. It actually does nothing on OS X. It used to work on Yosemite and prior versions, but not on El Capitan. I am using your clover folder and files. Is there any fix for this?
  6. Yeah, I meant to say I changed EHCI to EHC2, then used USB_injector.kext. Left everything else alone as your config.plist for CLOVER already has an auto patch to rename EHC1/EHC2 to EH01/EH02. I was just wondering what the purpose of additionally changing USBx to UHCx if all the previous has been done. But thanks for clearing that up. I used your new DSDT and things are better. I can finally get my GPU sensors to be read. I was having random black screen issues when restarting/shutting down (all the way from Mavericks), but I'll see if this gets rid of that. Hopefully, it does as that's the only problem this laptop has.
  7. BTW, what is the point of renaming USBx to UHCx? Is there a purpose? Because I didn't rename them and my USB ports are functioning fine.
  8. I finally figured it out. It was your DSDT that was the problem. I switched back to using the DSDT that was supplied with EDP/bootpack on this website (which was working flawlessly on my D830) and got my wifi working again, but of course I had to modify it to rename EHCI to EHC2 for USB. Learning how to modify the DSDT was a pain though. So I'd say it's best to use your own DSDT if you can (or the one supplied here on EDP/bootpack) and do the modifications yourself to ensure all your hardwork is detected and working properly.
  9. I am looking for some help. I got everything working except for wifi, which worked fine on Yosemite and prior with the same kexts. For some reason, El Capitan does not recognize my wifi at all, not even a symbol shows up on the menubar. I'm using a DW1390 wifi card. Which cards are you guys using? Could it be the card that's the problem? BTW, I'm using Clover. I have attached my EFI. EFI.zip
  10. Where is all the D830 LOVE?!! If anyone has been successful in the installation of El Capitan on a D830 Nvidia, I would love to hear your results, including installation guide, files and any bugs. I know it should be very similar to the D630, but the D830 has a different GPU and amount of USB ports. So I don't think installation/setup are 100% identical to each other.
  11. What I found to get the trackpoint, trackpad and keyboard all working eventually was to use the ALPS touchpad driver by ANV/Slice, BUT you have to open the kext package contents and remove "VoodooPS2Trackpad.kext" from Contents -> Plugins. This does have its drawbacks however. Even though this makes the trackpoint and its buttons fully work, you can no longer do two finger scrolling (or any type of scrolling) with the trackpad. This may be ignorable because I thought the scrolling was god awful to use with the kext in the first place. Tap to click still works fine though. Trackpad movement is also perfect without any glitches. Finally, it will show no trackpad found in System Preferences so you can't change any specific trackpad settings. For now this is the best method I think to get all three working to a good degree. Of course, if anyone can find a way to get the trackpoint working with all the multi-touch gestures of trackpad in addition, that would be beautiful.
  12. Has anyone found of any kext or combination of kexts that allows the trackpoint and its buttons to work, along with additionally the keyboard and trackpad fully working? I'm still using ALPS touchpad by anv/slice 1.1.5 and while the trackpad and keyboard works real well, the trackpoint and its buttons do not work at all. This is the last thing to get working on this machine and it'll be 100% perfect.
  13. Anyone having restart/shutdown issues with final App Store version 10.10 Yosemite and 10.10.1 update on an Nvidia D830? Yosemite runs perfectly, so much faster than Mavericks even, but restart and shutdown seems to be broken. Most of the time the laptop fails to restart/shutdown. The display turns off like it's about to restart or turn off, then it just sits there forever. I have to force power it off and on again. Also, this does not happen all the time. The laptop does restart and shut down properly sometimes, but majority of time it does not. Sleep works fine. I can confirm it's not a hardware problem as I have Windows 8.1 installed on the same partition and the problem doesn't exist there. The only kexts I use are: * FakeSMC (latest version and modified with 01330F00 0008 value) * ACPIBatteryManager * Patched_10.7_AppleRTC * IOATAFamily * BCM5722D * VoodooHDA 2.8.4 * AppleACPIPS2Nub * ApplePS2Controller Running on Chameleon v2.3, but it happens with Clover as well. This is what my bootlist looks like. Maybe someone can help me fix or improve it. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>GenerateCStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GeneratePStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>/System/Library/Kernels/kernel</string> <key>Theme</key> <string>AngelBird</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>2</string> <key>UseKernelCache</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>kext-dev-mode=1</string> </dict> </plist> Much thanks!
  14. I suggest doing a fresh install of Mavericks rather than trying to update from ML. I have the same D830 as you (minus the SSD and bluetooth dongle). Although I did succeeded upgrading directly from Mountain Lion to Mavericks, in the end I had to reinstall Mavericks from start because the system became buggy. Also, try to find version 10.9 of Mavericks (untouched App Store copy) if you can, meaning not 10.9.1, 10.9.2 or 10.9.3. Later releases tend to not work well with initial installation as I've heard. Once you have that, create an OS 10.9 installer with myHack, install Extra from the boot pack here and install OS 10.9 on a freshly formatted drive/partition. Once you get Mavericks up and running, then should you upgrade to 10.9.3. After doing the 10.9.3 upgrade, proceed to run EDP and configure for your laptop. That should get you going. Good luck! And don't bother with Yosemite unless you want massive headaches from switching between Chameleon and Clover. I still have yet to get Yosemite DP2 working perfectly with my D830. It's just still too early to be an easy and functional install.
  15. Just a heads up for anyone attempting to install DP2 using Chameleon, it will not work atm. The system will hang at boot up with a bunch of errors. Switching to Clover fixed it, allowed the installation to complete and successfully boot. Unfortunately since I run Mavericks, Yosemite and Windows on the same partition, I now have a weird hybrid of Chameleon + Clover. Chameleon runs on my main and active partition (Mavericks), so it will always override Clover installed on second partition (Yosemite), but it will not boot Yosemite with DP2. I have to resort to installing Clover bootloader on a separate USB flash drive whenever I want to boot Yosemite for now. I don't want to get rid of Chameleon because I prefer it over Clover, so I'll just wait until a fix is found for DP2 on Chameleon.
