  1. Hi EM' I have a v4 touchpad here, single button type. Below is a snippet from the boot log. Symptoms: No keyboard. No Touchpad. My 'working' setup is the v3.0 driver, with modified keyboard kext, that ignores the keyboard probe (blindly returns true - as the Voodoo driver does). I'm unsure why the touchpad fails with the later drivers though? Only difference is that v3.0 returned 'Elan: Touchpad Enabled successfully', where v3.5 returns 'ETD :: Touchpad enabled.' v3.0 does not appear to put the touchpad into 'Absolute Mode' either. 2. For the F11/F12 keys specifically? Brightness works via sys prefs. I need to read up and do my own DSDT anyhow. I'm using another users DSDT for now for testing.
  3. As posted on the main thread, my issue was fixed by recompiling the Keyboard kext to always success on probe.
  4. Well, it works! A quick look-over the Voodoo Keyboard source and the old source for this kext, I spotted that Voodoo just returns successful when probing (read: it doesn't probe). I grabbed the old source and recompiled the ApplePS2Keyboard kext, returning self/success, dropped the kext with 3.0.2, replacing the Keyboard kext inside the Controller. Voila - keyboard success! CapricornOne: The brightness keys do nothing for me. The Voodoo kext had the refresh key (over F5) make the brightness prompt appear, but did nothing - sat at 50%. Weirdly, the control panel and 'Brightness Slider' app appear correct (but not influenced by the keys). I use the latter app, as I had issues of brightness going to lowest on boot on battery, so this sets it to my personal default.
  5. Hey CapricornOne - what version are you using? I have a Z500 too, but the keyboard doesn't work on 3.0.2 - what did you need to do to make it work? As an aside: Isn't the source meant to be available? At least the mods to the Apple code should be (closed proprietary is fair - an NDA perhaps?). I was surprised since last push was a year ago, though I guess it's current if the touchpad driver is non-derived now. Not a nit-pick - just curious. Regards.
  6. To add further, trying the latests VoodooPS2 kexts, gives me rudimentary 'mouse' support on the pad, but no drag ability. I had a look at your source, but it's over a year old (I'm guessing you've closed-sourced it - fair enough). Between yours an the Voodoo src, there is some reminiscence of the Apple source, but probably not a simple case of 'bolting it in'. (I was hoping to tweak the Controller kext to use the Voodoo KB kext) What is different that Voodoo keyboard works, but yours does not? To recap: I'm using 10.9 (now 10.9.1). Clean install. All my kexts are injected by clover. None are inserted into S/L/E. I removed ALL PS2 kexts from clover. None were in S/L/E. Booting with your kexts, I get pretty perfect touchpad. No keyboard. Booting with Voodoo kexts, I get perfect keyboard, basic 'mouse'. No intermix of kexts - otherwise it either has a KP, or mostly errors in Console.
  7. Hi all. I have a Lenovo Z500, which this model has an Elan touchpad v4. Initially, I used the VoodooPS2 kexts, which gave me working keyboard. Naturally no pad. Using your 3.0.2 kexts, I can get a working pad... but no keyboard! The logs repeat this several times: 02/01/2014 16:33:49.000 kernel[0]: ApplePS2Controller: Timed out on keyboard input stream. 02/01/2014 16:33:49.000 kernel[0]: ApplePS2Keyboard: probe failed, retry 2 And natually, I cannot drop the Voodoo kexts back in without a KP. Any ideas? Any more info you need? Regards.
