Now I get a Kernal Panic after I restart, after the first restart to set it up

Ok, I downgraded to bios A11 and the video issues went away! Now I have a belkin 54g usb internet adapter, is there a kest or something for that

If you are currently unable to reinstall Windows, it will be easier to follow the guide I mentioned. 

 

I don't want to go through all that trouble, it want me to format to get GUID partition, I don't want to format my windows, yea i could back it up but...

1. Windows 7 sp1 64bit can be install on GUID partition

2. Like my E6230, BIOS A12 causes artifacts. Downgrade to A11 as in Darvinko's guide.

3. You can get a DW1510 for less than $20 in Ebay.

can i make the hard drive guid without re-installing. I'm going to have to look up that guide.

OK, it worked.....Sorta! It did install and boot but 1. I had to use a seperate hard drive, witch it really optimal but I want my windows too, it wanted me to format the whole hard drive to guid, I'm not willing to loose my Windows! 2. the video is really messed up, not really sure whats up, but I'm sure it easy fix. 3. the wifi doesn't work but I know its not going too, without another wifi card (no money to get another one)

When you created your USB installer, there is an option to add an MBR patch to your installer. If you choose to add the MBR patch, it can cause this type of problem so it is recommended you do not (choose no). Additionally, make sure your BIOS is in AHCI mode before you install.

Did you enable MBR patch building the USB Installer? That could be the problem.

not sure what you mean. Another question my windows install is on ata mode not AHCI, When I boot i just switch modes

Ok what am I doing wrong, i'm at a loss. I got a bootable usb made using myhack. It read the USB the first screen show up asking the language, I select it, then it crashes and ask if I want to save the log, I try to save it but tells me I dont have permission!!. GRRRR!!!!

I got everything working!!!! Mouse is still a little laggy, but it ok. would be intrested in a 100% fix, tho

the myhack version, now out of the blue my wifi stopped! Why wont this thing work, I want to run OSX!. Steve jobs must be watching me, LOL!

BTW, After I get these issues fixed should i be able to update?

you might need the tscsync.kext to confirm boot with the flag Cpus=1 at chameleon prompt, as for wifi you have to make sure your is compatible with osx... Intel wifi is a no go.

First Thank You, you saved me from a hackintoshing melt down!! I got it installed and boot straight from my HHD, but now i have a VERY laggy mouse, and it can't find any network (wifi) to connect. Melt down coming back, but I have Faith in you and this website.

You won't be able to boot off the Mac OS DVD for sure. And it looks like your Mod CD installation did not like EDP... Re-install through ModCD again. On completion, reboot off the ModCD CD/DVD and choose your freshly installation Snow Leopard HDD partition to boot from.

 

If you have the black screen issue, hook an external screen to your laptop and press Fn-F8 to switch display to that external monitor. At the end of boot process, display should switch back automatically to built-in LCD (well it does on D630 with X3100 GPU and 1440x900 LCD).

 

Assuming you have a Broadcom Wifi card (Intel not supported), download your model specific bootpack and place the DSDT table in /Extra. Then download Chameleon and install it. That should normally get you to a bootable SL system. Reboot.

 

Then install myHack. If your USB key is not recognized, it's probably a model incompatible with Mac OS (I once had an issue with a 32Gb USB key. Worked Ok under Win, but totally unusable under Mac OS X). Try another one or an external HDD to get your myHack installation media done and re-install following the EDP procedure.

 

Can you provide the full specs of your machine (BIOS version, CPU type, screen res, etc.)? I think I have a spare D620 Intel GMA at work I could borrow for testing...

Can you go into more detail about the hole DSDT and /Extra, like dumbman term, I dont want to miss or screw up any steps. I'm Getting REALLY frustrated but I will get it installed, oh yes i will get it installed, LOL!!!! BTW... OSX says my processor is a Core 2 duo, when in BIOS, say its a Core Duo?!
