  1. Hello. I'm attempting my first hackintosh, so I'm very much a noob at this and know little to none about it but I'm doing my best with the info I've found. First, I attempting using this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6SmFSjkEkY&t=1032s) in order to do a simple Clover install, but everytime I tried to boot to it it'd say that something was wrong with my config.plist file, and then the screen would go black after selection MacOS boot from Clover. I tried a couple different config.plist files and all gave the same results. I asked the Hackintosh subreddit for help and they just told me to use OpenCore. Dead end. Is there somewhere that i can grab a config file specifically for the E5450? Or an entire Clover file at that? And if not, how can I go about making one? *E5450 Specs* Core i5-5300U Intel HD 5500 Any help is appreciated
  2. Hello, I have plus E-Port on my E5450 and i have some problem with DP Connection. When i try to use DP on the e-port, monitor say display port no signal. In window 10, same HW config, dp out 4K @60Mhz on my asus monitor . ( i exclude cable problem) When i boot with lcd close, dp connected, i see boot screen at mojave statrtup but it never switch to graphical mojave login screen on my monitor. When i boot with lcd open, evry thing work but i have display port no signal on monitor I inspect ioreg entrys, on FB0 is use for ldc (monitor applebacklightdisplay), FB1 and FB2 type DP and monitor is reconize as appledisplay but allways no signal on monitor (with DP input on it), with this config, when i plug HDMI monitor work correcly. When i change connection it appear be correct in ioreg igpu framebuffer and monitor ( value change automaticaly when i change cable connector position on e-port. Has anybody idea how to find issue ? I my config, everything work perfecly exept this point. Attached, Dump and ioreg In advance, thanks a lot for your help. debug_19326.zip ioreg.dump.ioreg

  5. Greetings.. Picked up an E5450 (i7-5600U/HD5500<366x768>) for the purpose of using as a mobile audio multitrack workstation, only to find out that ProTools 11 is only supported to the end of Yosemite. I've searched the forum base as well as the bootPacks, and it seems like things only get started with this series at El Capitan. I tried booting, but KP'd rendering the image shown in the attached picture. Am I barking up an impossible tree? Thank you. 5450 KP.zip

  9. I'm trying to install High Sierra on Dell Latitude E5450 Intel i5-5300 with HD Graphics 5500 (no dedicated GPU) The Bios Version A07 SATA SSD (Samsung EVO 850) that is in AHCI mode I have tried using bootpack from: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/10207-e5450-fresh-install-high-sierra-and-few-problems/ But I'm stuck at "Still waiting for root device" (the attached screen is exactly before the message). Here are the "origin" AML files (from my system) and the clover folder (removed binaries but kept all info.plist for kexts to fit in 2MB). Clover version is rev 4330 (UEFI mode). BIOS DVMT is set to 64MB (using the utility that I can't remember the name since I set it up for Sierra) I even tried cloning the USB stick (install partition) to the SSD and booting from there, but the same happens. What am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance. Note: I had Sierra successfully installed on this laptop, and I have High Sierra successfully installed on another E5470 with Skylake booting with the same Clover version. e5450-origin.zip e5450-clover.zip
  10. Hello all! This is the guide I am following: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/8506-dell-latitude-inspiron-precision-clover-guide/&do=findComment&comment=54632 I've been toying with this E5450 for a while now and have finally gotten some progress, turns out I was an idiot and didn't configure the Bios properly: (I missed this) 2. Press F2 to configure the BIOS Sata Operaton -> AHCI Secure Boot -> Disabled Boot List Option -> UEFI. Enable Legacy Option Rom Apply and Exit So now I am getting I'm getting past the initial loading but it bombs out with this kernel panic: Some notes: Boot pack - I used this one: Broadwell - (See Note2 below) E5450_HD5500.zip 418.94KB 442 downloads Updates: I followed note to check for updates and replaced this kext: E7x70, E7x50, E5450, Precision 7510 AppleHDA_ALC293.kext.zip 13.26KB 385 downloads Anyone have a red hot clue what I did wrong? Thanks for reading. Eternally grateful
  11. Hello All. Thanks to the Shared Knowledge I have manage to Installed El Capitan on my E5450 using Clover with the bootpack posted on previous. post https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/8180-yosemite-on-e5450/page-3 I am still having issues with Graphics and Network: Graphics Issue: graphics are flickering like when it runs on save mode. I notice the following message on verbose mode: [iGPU] Graphics Driver failed to load could register with FrameBuffer. I guess Graphics driver is not loading when booting. Network Issue: Intel Wifi will have to be replaced but I notice that the wifi card it is smaller card than the BCM that I used for my M4600. Do you know which card should I buy? Ethernet is not being recognized at all I have attached my Original ACPI Files using F4 on Clover for possible patching help. Any Help is much appreciated... Happy Holidays to all. 12. Hi all Have been reading through the 2 other e5450 posts trying to work out how to get Yosemite up and running properly on my E5450, and have managed to complete the install using Clover. Specs are as follows: DELL Lattitude E5450 i5-5200U Broadwell 2.20Ghz 8GB RAM Intel HD 5500 1080p touchscreen 500GB HDD (not SSD) Using the latest Clover. Installed Clover using Install for UEFI booting only option. Added HFSPlus-64.efi Added FakeSMC.kext, GenericUSBXHCI.kext, VoodooPS2Controller.kext. Added config.plist Set ig-platform-id to 0x16160002 The main issue is that the graphics aren't accelerated and are really slow. It's reporting the Intel 5500 with only 7MB of RAM. Any advice on how to fix it? Thanks
