  1. Dell E7470 with bootpack from JakeLo and OpenCore 6.4 Created 2 partitions, installed Big Sur successfully. Formatted 2nd partition and installed WIn10 from USB. Win10 boots ok if I press F12 and select Windows Boot Manager, however if I boot from OpenCore and select WIndows it goes straight into startup repair Is there any way to allow Win10 to boot via OpenCore? I have attached my EFI folder EFI.zip
  2. WHAT I HAVE DONE: I created the USB installer with the createinstallmedia command installed clover 5119 and tried with the latest version too used Clover Configurator and mounted EFI folder installed bootpack for Catalina booted up installation with boot args -x -f -v -igfxvesa Note: Catalina Installer is from official Apple Servers. WHAT'S GOING ON: After being greeted with the language selection screen, I selected English. Opened disk utility and formatted the NVMe SSD to MacOS journaled. Then, returned to the installation screen... and behold... I could not see the partition available to install macOS onto. So I just restarted the laptop and used clover boot loader to try to restart the installation process. The boot loader did not take me to the installation screen this time, but gave me an error. The error shows at the end of parsing so much code, that the screen goes off and tries to reboot. Literally such a small amount of time. I am unable to see the full error, but it is something along the lines off... "in memory panic"... Attached EFI folder. Catalina 10.15.6 EFI.zip
  3. Hello! I have tried to install High Sierra on my DELL Latitude E7470 i7-6600U but I get the following error: I have used both Clover 2.4 and 2.5, in addition to following the instructions for my laptop
  4. Installed Catalina 10.15.2 a couple of weeks ago following Jake Lo's guide. It was working flawless. Now that I saw that the update to 10.15.3 upgrade was like a walk in the park as long as I updated Clover, kexts and repaired permissions and rebuild cache I decided to take my chances. So, I checked Clover, was latest version already. Updated a few kexts with the help of Kext Updater app. (For some reason it wouldn't boot if I moved BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext and BrcmPatchRAM2.kext. I now have BrcmFirmwareData.kext and BrcmPatchRAM3.kext in my "Other" folder.) So, even though I have all my kexts in the EFI partition , I ran the following just in case: sudo chmod -Rf 755 /L*/E* sudo chown -Rf 0:0 /L*/E* sudo chmod -Rf 755 /S*/L*/E* sudo chown -Rf 0:0 /S*/L*/E* sudo touch -f /L*/E* sudo touch -f /S*/L*/E* sudo kextcache -Boot -U / The upgrade started and rebooted, then got stuck. I can still get in to the 10.15.2 installation so I set the boot mode to verbose and restarted. Now it tells me: ** In Memory Panic Stackshot Succeded ** Bytes Traced 30512 **
  5. Long time hackintosh user. I do have a Intel NUC 54250WYKH running High Sierra (can't find time to upgrade it). First time time installing on Dell E7470. Crash on first USB boot. Cannot get to Mac OS Installer. Stuck on Apple logo, progress bar with a very small percentage and a functional cursor, all that after all verbose finished loading. Tried High Sierra, Mojave and Catalina. Different USB drives. They all freeze at same moment with the same behavior. I really avoid opening new topics if there is any other that I can follow, but could not find other one alike this problem. Any help is appreciated. Followed the guides at https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/8506-dell-latitude-inspiron-precision-vostro-xps-clover-guide and https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/9179-dell-latitude-e7x70-clover-uefi-only/ to the letter. Things to note: BIOS: 1.22.8 I did not do not set DVMT to 96MB (0x3) since all bootpacks come with Lilu and WhateverGreen . BIOS settings: Set to Default and apply, SATA Operations = AHCI, Boot List Option to UEFI, Legacy ROM = Disabled, Secure Boot = Disabled, TPM = tried both Enabled/Disabled, Wake on LAN = Disabled, and Legacy ROM = Disabled. Clover (release 5100) with following settings: Install for UEFI booting only, Install Clover in the ESP, all other options to the letter . First copied (with replace not merge) the generic bootpack EFI_v5100.zip at the first guide, and then copied over (with replace) the E7470 bootpack at the second guide, usind the appropriate pack to whatever Mac OS version I was trying to install (E7470_1.17.5_HS, E7470_Mojave and E7470_Catalina) Just HSFPlus.efi, no VBoxHfs.efi // Just VirtualSMC.kext no SMCHelper and no FakeSMC . Updated Lilu to 1.4.0 and WhaeverGreen to 1.3.5 . Specs: Core i5-6600U, 8GB DDR4, Intel 520 graphics, 1440p touch screen ( ! ), 512GB LiteOn LGH-512V2G M.2 SSD (non NVMe), Broadcom DW1820A, Intel I219-LM ethernet. Steps considered: Used arguments -igfxvesa and -v Tried Clover r5070. Post my EFI folder and my F4 dump for the Mojave try. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance. EFI_joao.zip ACPI_origin.zip

  7. Hello, I have an issue with the estimated remaining battery indication of my hackintosh. When I reach 0% of battery (indicated in the status bar), the laptop can continue to work maybe 20 or 30 minutes more. I did not have this issue with windows : when it reached 5% or less, the laptop was shutted down. Is it a calibration issue of the hackintosh ? How to get rid of this problem and retrieve a realistic remaining battery indicator ? Thanks

    E7470 + Dock

Hello, My laptop is plugged into a dock (old way dock, no USB-C like) : the LAN is working the screen replication is partially working. On the Dock I have a DVI port and a VGA port. When the laptop is plugged to the DOCK, the system is recognizing only one type of external monitor and is displaying in consequence the same image on the both VGA and DVI screens. How can I "say" to MacOs that there are 2 externals monitors, 1 DVI & 1 VGA ? the USB ports from the dock are not recognized, when I plug a phone , it is even not charging it. Do you know how I can go further with these issues ? And another question regarding the kexts. I removed the duplicated kext between /L/E and /S/L/E but not between /L/E and /E/C/k. I did not find a tutorial that explaning well what kext are needed for clover and what kext are needed for /L/E, any explanation is welcomed Thanks debug_13851.zip
  9. Hi all, i use E7470 i Run script in Terminal : sh -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/xzhih/one-key-hidpi/master/hidpi.sh)" choise 1, 3, 1. But 1600 x 900 not enable HiDPI. thanks all.
  10. I successfully installed 10.13.6 on E7470 with BIOS 1.17.5 using this Jake Lo Guide with DW1560 Wifi. Everything was working after a month of messing with it, then I decided it would be a good idea to install Windows on another partition without backing up first and messed it up. I saved the EFI from the USB installer and the EFI from the successful SSD install before I went for a reinstall. Neither EFI from the working install would boot installer again. It kernel panics, hangs at fakeSMC, RTC, or at creating RAM Disc for var/logs. BIOS settings - AHCI, no legacy ROM, no wake on LAN, no secure boot, version 1.17.5. I decided to upgrade my RAM to 16GB and my SSD to Samsung 970 EVO 500GB before asking for help with patching my DSDT. I've been messing with this for two months now and can use some help. I cannot seem to figure out DSDT patching. I can get my dsdt.aml to dsdt.dsl but I don't know what patches I looking for in MaciASL. Just lists Rehabman's patches and I don't know what I'm looking for. I'd prefer to know how to patch my files correctly, but I'll take any help I can. EFI.zip
  11. Hi there. I have a Dell E7470 and found this guide to install mac OS on it. It looks pretty nice and I got stuck in the first step because it recommends setting the DVMT to 96MB. Is this still necessary? I'm running Linux on it now and I can't run the tools the procedure requests. Any thoughts? Thank you. Mario.
  12. ACPI.zipACPI.zipI keep getting KP trying to boot into 10.13.4 when dropping OEM and using attached patched files? Any suggestions? Thanks for any help. config.plist.zip
  13. Hey team. This is easily the nicest "Mac" I've ever owned. Thanks again a million times for maintaining this site, and for helping me and everyone else so often and so well. My latest hiccup is wired Ethernet; when I plug in the cable, under Network Preferences it flips back and forth between "unplugged" and "no IP address": It's a known working cable, and I have both a link light and an activity light on the back of the laptop. What other info would be helpful to troubleshoot this? Thanks in advance!

Kindly ask your advise how to start this installation?
