my main question is that will these parts work with osx 10.6.3

i have the 10.6.3 retail cd and all my hdd's and cd drives are SATA

amd fx 8150 processor (8 cores)

and which mobo to pick

so do you think it will work and i was thinking of getting a newer hd7770 or 6850 to crossfire with my 6950 so my concern is that if i keep my monitor connected to the 6950 than will it be a problem

 

 

 

 

and also if all of this works then will i be able to update it to OSX lion because the guide here stops at 10.6.8

We are still testing Snow Leopard compatibility with the new Bulldozer CPUs and 970 chipsets from AMD. I'll update the AMD post on the frontpage when we get somewhere!

 

I too own a Radeon HD6850 and it works just fine in both Snow Leopard and Lion. Highly recommended if you want great performance for almost no money!

 

 

 

I know this post has been going on for a while, but I have a few questions.......Now, Im new to this site, Im also building a new AMD system, and it is being build on a FX "Bulldozer" CPU and the AMD 990 chipsets...... I am using a MSI 990FXA-GD80 motherboard, the AMD FX-8150 8-core (that will be overclocked and liquid cooled), 16GBs of Mushkin memory, and so on.... And I just spotted this forum and topic, and was wondering if you have had any successful tests and completed installs of Snow Leopard yet? I also have a Gateway FX 7805u gaming series laptop, and a copy of OSX that i have had for a while, but have had no successful installs as of yet.... I would much appreciate any kind of help you all can give me..........
