  1. Give me a link please.
Guides for installation is ok, but not give the answers to create fully supported machine.
As long as I need to generate DSDL and etc... it is lack of descriptions to configure machine right way.

And as I told - in guides my PC shall be MPB 8,2 or 8,1 but it not loads so far with that.

  2. Have another issue.

    1. If I try to create config.plist with any other MBP (8,1 or 8,2) system cannot boot - all guides told me this shall be the right choice.

    2. Starting of script ssdtPRGen also told me that MBA shall not be SandyBridge.

    3. Overheating a problem - system don't know fans speeds, controls unpredictably - sometime too hot and book stood still after.

Cannot say this is 100% workable version.

Advice where to dig and what to do please.

  3. yes from those links

    At least booted. Solved.

I used MBA 5,2 for SMBIOS and after that my Dell Latitude E6220 (without DVD) on i7-2640m booted successfully and installed with no issues.

Maybe will be helpful to someone.

UPD: Updated to Sierra from El_Captain. Works ok, only clicking sound disturbs me at that moment.

  4. I don't follow what you do at all, but you're obviously not doing this right. You need to follow the guide step by step and you'll get there, unless you have a duff USB key of course...

step-by-step leads to same - KP. whenever this Clover or with Vanilla way. I am trying to find out where it slips.

Each time to make no mistakes done going through guideline and have same - cannot boot to installer.

USB stick itself is ok - tried three different vendors (even bought new one).

Is there a chance to get the log before it come to panic?

  5. that drives me crazy... even this ëasy installation cannot boot till installer.

Going to try again from the very blank.

    What is done:
    BIOS update to A13
Switched all BIOS options as per recommended link
Flashed from blank USB according to guide mentioned.
    - took kernel 10.12.0
Kernel panic... - couldn't allocate "AppleKeyStore" bla bla bla + AppleCpuPowerManagment
    - took  Patched_AICPUPM_10.12.zip
    Waiting on <dict ID="0"><key>IOProviderClaass</key>..... IOResources... boot-iid-media
    Still waiting for root device
    - took FakeSMC.kext to /Installation/Library/Extensions
Still waiting for root device and same shit
    see in here AppleFSCompressionTypeDataless
    see some HFS mistakes...

    and still unsupported chip...
    - took IOGraficsFamily.kext + AppleIntelE1000e.kext
    AppleFSComression... loaded sucessfully
Still waiting for root device.... f**k!!!

  6. If you're using the files in post#13 and you have different CPU then i7-2620m, then just leave off the SSDT.aml. Everything else in the files should work.

    Hi Jake,

what I have found: on my Dell E-6220 installed Core i7-2640M.

Similar CPUs use the same socket and architecture as Intel Core i7-2620M (PGA) and Core i7-2640M (PGA), however their performance and other characteristics are a bit different.

    - so I did find anything different from commands or structure - same shall be.

    @Bronxteck - not helped

I am also trying to have log written - somehow it is not in misc. Advice ?

  7. If you're using the files in post#13 and you have different CPU then i7-2620m, then just leave off the SSDT.aml. Everything else in the files should work.

Didn't find any reliable guidance how to make it. Machine is not operable at all - I only could use Mac I have.

  8. Hi Guys!

Tried different variations (most of them focused on i5 version of E6220) and cannot even boot to installer.

Don't know what is wrong with my Dell.

Each time stopped at different places but most of them - waiting for root device.

Have E6220 with i7 -  assume Sandy Bridge
