Change Intel Wi-fi card with an Atheros ar9280 and now Wi-Fi and Bluetooth works both!

I think this is the best I can obtain from this Dell, so this is the end I hope for this Topic.

Then inject Intel graphics + layout id 01660003 in Clover and you'll have full graphics acceleration and max resolution on screen.

if your talking about the resolution at Clover GUI not being what you set in clover config then no patching will fix that. only EFI driver will. i have the same issue on my HP elite book. if i use no CSM, UEFI only in bios clover GUI resolution is correct but then the apple and the progress bar are crazy like out of frequency also verbose output is messed up. if i enable CSM in bios then clover GUI is distorted like yours but apple logo is good and so is progress bar and verbose. i also get the same output in clover log as you with CSM enabled in bios. the resolution is lower then what i set in clover config. the solution for me was to learn to live with one of the 2 problems. for me i rather see something that makes sense even though its a bit stretched out then out of frequency verbose output.

I use this Hack since almost 2 years and I learned to live with this boot resolution, installation was Uefi but I haven't possibility to change CSM in Bios, no voice in Bios settings about it.

Probably the problem borns during Uefi installation because in my Dell's Hack, in Legacy has perfects resolution.

With -v after verbose(Glitch starts now I suppose) logo and progress bar are perfects.

Without-v I see a stretched Apple logo and progress bar until the glitch.

I think I've found the problem...as you can see from bdmesg the patch is applied but Clover don't find the right resolution 1366x768!

I don't understand why.....in config as you see from second picture my settings in Gui is on 1366x768!

I use Intel Graphics, Nvidia's card not supported.

Rebuild cache from terminal first and tried with kext Wizard next, always this hateful resolution until the glitch.

No difference with kext dev mode=1.

Hi everyone, I've a little problem with my Asus k56cb Sierra 10.12.4 in signature.

I'm not able to give full resolution in Clover and when Sierra boots during Apple Logo there's a little glitch, after that enter full resolution and all works perfectly.

I,ve tried to put this patch in Clover with no success:

 

Name: IOGraphicsFamily
Find: 0100007525
Replace: 010000eb25

Comment: Boot graphics glitch, 10.12

MatchOS: 10.12.x

 

while in Clover resolution is setting exactly 1366x768 (change resolution works in the same way).

Sleep: sleep works with Fn+1 key but not when I close the lid..... But I'm sure this is not an hardware problem because actually I've installed Backbox in dual boot and sleep with lid is perfect in Linux.

Update to 10.9.5 and now reboot and stop here!

What happen?

 

Edit: Solved by myself

 

Remove all IntelHDGraphics kext

 

Then boot -s

 

Type this command

 

fsck -fy

mount -uw /

mkdir /intelhd_backup

cd /System/Library/Extensions

mv AppleIntelHD* AppleIntelSNB* /intelhd_backup

 

reboot

 

I've installed CI kext 10.9.5 and now it's Ok again.

I tried to put in 10.9 folder but in info, Ethernet, says "No Ethernet Device".

I suppose it's for Ethernet, thanks. I'll try it at work next days.

I put in 10.9 VoodooPS2Controller and non touchpad works better than first (still no gesture but more speed).

 

Edit: No more problem without -v flag. Boot is ok.

 

For Monitor preferences and Vga? Have any suggestions?

Hi guys, now I've successfully installed Mavericks 10.9 with CI, I need Help with my post-installation if you're so glad to give me some support.

 

 

 

Wi-fi don't work but I know it(I've to change the card), Bluetooth ok,  pairing works
Monitor: resolution ok(1440x900) no setting in Preferences but brightness works with FNkey
Touchpad works(no gesture)
Keyboards ok
Ethernet don't works
Usb all 4 are ok
VGA no
Dvd works but I get error when I launch the Application (probably CI error)
Audio don't works
Battery,  I put ACPIBattery kext in 10.9, whit Yosemite was Ok, with Mavericks NO

 

I attach Dsdt, Config, kext in 10.9 and DpciManager Picture If you need it.

 

I'm grateful with everyone for any help and suggestion.

Installed successfully Mountain Lion with Clover and partial acceleration, there's no glitch and Mirror Windows and Launchpad both works enough fast. I tough very worst. Probably now if I find the right kext for everything I'll install some Linux distribution in dual boot and that's all! The notebook's owner wanted put it in a garbage basket....I think this Dell can relive still a pair of years!

Don't worry about me, I've got already an Hack as you can see in my signature and it works perfectly.

But I like to try new experience every day, and someone took me this Dell, so I though "why not?" and here we are!

Probably now I'll try to install Mavericks with Chameleon(never used) because with Clover and CI kext, I saw glitch and stripes yesterday after trying.

Install Windows or Linux on this notebook take me just a couple of hours... Probably this is the Happy ending!

Thanks guys, now I see the type using Ubuntu 11.04! eDp.
What do you mean exactly for "partial acceleration"?
For example now when I use Mirrors the PC needs almost 1 second to open another Desktop windows.
And in the"bible" I read that partial acceleration is only for Mountain Lion or Mavericks.
I've already select Patch Bios in Clover.

How can I know my connector? If I follow the "Bible"(as you can read in my post previous post) the terminal command : sudo intel_reg_dumper  don't give me back any answer... In live with Ubuntu and other live distribution the responce is no command found

There's another way for finding my connectors type? Thanks.

Hello everyone on this amazing forum!I've successfully installed Yosemite 10.10 on this Notebook, full resolution 1440x900 but there's not Graphics acceleration. I've tried all the possible combinations in Ghost Rider Guide for frame buffer kext whit no results. Someone has any solution?
