I am pretty sure the Dell Optiplex 3020 has the Realtek ALC3220 audio chip. This is the same as the ALC280 which is supported by AppleALC.kext. I want to say that I used layout ID 11 or 13 on that unit. 3, 4, 11, 13, and 15 are listed. You might want to give them all a try.

Any chance someone can take a look at my setup again? Still no luck getting the I2c trackpad kext working properly.
-
It is working, but only on an external HDMI screen. I rebuilt my config.plist based off of one of Rehabman's Intel HD 4600 plist and got the same results last night. Is there a way to define the boot display to correct this?
Thanks for all your help.

Can you take a look at my High Sierra install? I can't get the Intel HD 4600 working completely.

After resuming from Sleep I lost trackpad again. On reboot the pad only slightly moves the cursor then stops. I attached new debug.

VoodooI2C & VoodooI2CHID are installed in Clover/Kexts/others. I was just trying out multiple versions. This latest DSDT edit has the trackpad up and working again. You obviously worked your magic as usual.
I will keep testing. Thanks mate.

I gave that a try. No difference on boot up or returning from sleep. I installed the 3 voodoo kexts into S/L/E and the keyboard is now functioning properly. I noticed on startup that the voodooI2c controller was going to a sleep state.

Nice
Yes, they were both initially working fine. Seems after a Sleep/Wake and then a Reboot I lost them both.

Keyboard does, but trackpad does not. Thanks for all your help on this. I am just getting into the laptops.

It was indeed a Sky Lake CPU with Intel HD 520. I mistyped on my last post. I have fixed the typing failure lol.
The trackpad and keyboard aren't working again. I will try different kext versions out to see whats up.

That did the trick. I also had to change AirPortBrcm4360 over to the kext name of "com.apple.driver.AirPort.Brcm4360" in my KextsToPatch section.
I also had the device ID for sound defined to 11. It needed to be 13 for the ALC256 sound chip in this unit.
Thanks again, I posted my EFI for others minus a CPU SSDT and SMBIOS parameters. I will test some more, but everything seems fine now.
This is a Latitude 5480 with Sky Lake CPU, Intel HD 520, and Nvidia 930MX GPU. I have installed a DW1560 for internal Wifi/BT support.
-
Thanks, that was it. Guess I had not tried that Bios setting yet.
Can you help me get the DW1560 working? I am not sure how to properly edit the SSDT that handles that.

Anyone had a problem with the system freezing when unplugging or plugging in the charger?

The first version is working for me for the 5480's touchpad. All kext files are being employed via Clover/Kexts/Other folder.
Newest VoodooPS2Controller.kext from Rehabman takes care of keyboard for my unit.

I placed the old DSDT back in place after testing. I will run a debug with the new one today.
