  1. Why I still can't move my cursor using this driver

I'm sure my touchpad is ELAN (ACPI\VEN_ETD&DEV_0108)

    my laptop is Asus TP300LD

I'm sure I had followed the guide. Also I had removed the files mentioned in front..

    using elan v3.8.5, v4.0 & v4.2. But boot always says :

    - ETD : Initializing ELAN keyboard

    - ETD : Keyboard enabled

    - ETD : Detecting Touchpad...

    - ETD : Probably not a real ELAN touchpad, Aborting

    var/log = attachicon.giflog.zip

Works well in TP550LD here.. :)

  2. I've got an ASUS K46CM notebook and the key mapping is a bit off.

this is qwertyuiop typed on the notebook: qwerty456*

    asdfghjkl = asdfgh123

    zxcvbnm = zxcvbn0

It's like having the numeric keypad on keys uio/jkl/m

What do I have to configure to make it work right? (It's ABNT2 layout, but I prefer using US)

edit: keyboard mode = 3 and id = 1B fixed the keyboard layout. changing scroll speed enabled 2f scroll (oh the readme..). but option to turn off numlock on boot isnt working

    Set it to NO

    Mine works on A46CA

  3. Hi. I got some issues..

    First:

I having issues with the 2 fingers scroll..

I have disabled 2 Fingers Continuous scroll but still get the effect. It keeps scrolling when I don't release my finger.

    Second:

Edge Swipe. I disable the edge swipes except the right edge. I set it to Notification centre.

It can open the Notification Centre (swipe from outside to touchpad) but I can't close it back (swipe from touchpad to outside)

I have to re-swipe it again (swipe from outside to touchpad)

Can you fix/re-add the vice-versa swapping? Thx.

    Third:

I can disable the touchpad by using Context Menu + F9 (On ASUS A46CA).

But when I press Esc, the touchpad is re-enabled.

    Thanks for the driver.

Hope you can fix these soon.

    Thank you.

  4. Ok i just disable the finer brightness and I get my brighness shortcut and turn off display shortcut back..

Just only the touchpad is still buggy when disable the touchpad, plus it's hard to 2fingScroll..

And I have disable auto scroll and continuous scroll but still get continuous scroll when reaching top edge of the touchpad..

    Any fix for these?

    Thanks.. :)

  5. DanN7,

Attached are two snapshots one before loading BTFirmware v2.0 (It does not get loaded by default, dont know why, have tried -f, UseKernelCache=No, repairing permissions, recreating kext Caches), the other after manually loading the kext.

One thing I noticed at boot time, also there in the kernel log is the following line -

    2014-01-20 02:50:33 +0800 kernel[0]: BTCOEXIST off

Could this have something to do with my problem?

Thank You so much for helping

    Hamood

You said your BT didn't detected on Windows 7?

Does it have ever worked before on Windows 7?

  6. EmlyDinesh,

Some more information. Firstly I installed BTFirmwareuploader V 2.0 in S/L/E using kext wizard, corrected the permissions, on boot used -f to force all kexts to load, but BTFirmware kext does not get loaded, so used kext wizard to load the kext manually and I get an error message in system log as illustrated in the attached picture.

Second observation to be pointed out is that the BT does not get detected in either Windows (7) or Ubuntu (13.10) (the hardware is not listed), further more if I try to install the BT driver (BCM4352) provided by Dell it stops in the middle and prompts - No BT hardware detected.

Even to get the WiFi working I had to put a tape over pin 20 on the under side of the card (I believe this was due to BIOS white list), so I wonder if I have to tape over some other pin to get BT working - Just shooting in the dark here !

    Thank You

    Hamood Aslam

Try to use the latest Kext Utility from cvad. It's better than Kext Wizard

  7. Edge swipes are disabled by default and you need to enable using either plist edit and install (or) gesture to enable/disable. I've also restored NC to soft mode in the new version just like before, but you can set this to Keyboard shortcut by editing plist value to 14 and assigning shortcut like i explained in the features thread. By the way, you need to swipe a little faster for NC soft mode to work.

I have already enabled the Edge swipes, change the value 14, but no work.

    btw, what is NC?

  8. Well, I downloaded the 2.6 version of the Elan kext (https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_id=1862

) listed in the first post of this thread, then put it into /System/Library/Extensions. You can use a kext tool for this, but I just use a terminal window to move the kext over and then use chown and chmod to set the permissions.

Once I did that, and rebooted with chimera (chameleon, stolen and rebranded), I was able to go to System Settings and access settings in "Trackpad".

    - Joe

I have set the 2F scroll enabled and still don't get that feature

  9. Glad to see that someone is working on a driver for this. Any prediction on when we'll finally have 2F-Scrolling in Mountain Lion with the Elan?

Update: Nevermind. It turns out that, if you boot with unifail, the driver doesn't work. If you boot with chimera (chameleon, stolen and rebranded), it does. (shrug...)

You use chimera (chameleon, stolen and rebranded) too?

    how to enable 2F scrolling?

  10. I use the v4 2.6 Dinesh

it works in my laptop (ASUS A46CA)!

    but with some bugs:

    > if EdgeSwipeRight enabled (I use it for Notification Center), any swipe from middle to the Right (if touched the Right edge) won't do anything (e.g: my 4FSwipeRightAction is move to left space, it won't do anything if I touch the Right edge. If I swipe and don't touch the Right edge, it works.)

    > Windows drag won't work by tap and drag. Must use left click + drag

    > 2FScrolling doesn't work

    > Pinch zoom doesn't work

    > Rotation doesn't work

    > my 3FSwipeDownAction is Application Windows, and it doesn't work

    > EdgeSwipeTop (is "Minimize app" on mine) doesn't work

Here I post my configuration, hope you can try it too:

    ApplePS2ElanTouchpad.kext.zip

    btw thanks for your ElanTouchpad!

    Edit:

    > 3FSwipeRight and 3FSwipeLeft don't work (Forward and Backward)
