Well there was a new version of VoodooPS2Controller (2.1.3) out so I thought that might do the trick but no luck...
If I remove the kext completely the Touchpad is not working in Clovers boot menu, but when I have it in /E/C/k/O then I can move the cursor out in the boot menu, but when I get to the desktop it stops working again...
-
Ok, thanks for the tip!
However I tried it already and no change. I tried to installing VoodooPS2Controller.kext to both /L/E and /E/C/k/O but no difference.
The touchpad works in the clover menu before the os loads...
I'll keep looking for a solution tomorrow...

Hi all!
I gave 10.15.4 a try on my M4800.
First updated Clover and extensions like Lilo etc with the help of Hackintool.
The update to 10.15.4 went fine, a quick check gave the impression that all important stuff was working fine.
Powered down the computer and left it until today.
When I booted it up again the touchpad has stopped working.
I tried different versions of VoodooPS2Controller but I no luck...
I'm thinking maybe something with the USB has gone haywire so the touchpad isn't detected.
It works out in the Clover boot menu, so there is not hardware related...
I have most extension installed in /L/E except for BCRM and VoodoPS2 that I have in /E/C/k/Other
Anyone with the same issue?

Ok, thanks for the info Hervé!
I think I grasp the general idea on how to proceed.
I also saw that Hackintool provided a short "how-to" about this...
The main issue (I think) is that my current config does not find the USB-hub where the camera is.
I'll give it a try when I have some time...

I looked at another M4800, and it looks like the camera is USB-based.
If I look at my Catalina installation with Hackintool I can see 2 USB controllers, XHC and EH01.
So I figured I try some of the mentions of editing the USBPorts.kext to match the model name etc...
Made several tries but nothing changed after rebooting...
Then I tried to just remove the USBPorts.kext from my /E/C/Kexts/Other and rebooted.
All of my USB:s still worked after reboot?... So I must have some other means to inject/fix the USB:s?
I suspected that I do not know what I'm doing really

Hi!
Has anyone got the camera working om the M4800 and Catalina yet?
I peaked at a solution for the M6800:Could not get it to work...
Any ideas for a beginner?

My mistake... the laptop was in my backpack...
I can't take the credit for any of it, that goes to the people that actually made it work...
Here is the complete stuff I used to get it working, all the way from Mojave:

Sure, but my m4800 is on my Office desk and I am taking an extended weekend and won’t be back at the office until Monday...
If I don’t post back then, please post a reminder here

I tried the update to 15.1.
After the first reboot it had created a second boot option in Clover for the update.
Selected that with verbose mode and then it worked for a little while then it looked liked it stopped working.
But after letting it sit there for about 2-3 minutes it continued the installation and now my M4800 is updated to 15.1!

Well, just got Bluetooth working again... Followed this thread:
Now I just saw that Catalina 15.1 Update was released... I wonder if I dare try to upgrade that as well...
Feels like pushing my luck now that everythin is finally working fine

Well, after a few hiccups during the install I’m now at the Catalina desktop...
As far as I can see all the functionality is more or less as before the upgrade.
One thing I discovered is that the WiFi does not start to work directly after a reboot, it takes about a minute before it springs into life...
Bluetooth is not working, but honestly I can’t remember if that worked in Mojave?...

Hi!
Did you guys do a fresh installation or a direct upgrade from a previous version when you got Catalina Up&running?
