  1. Is there any sort of patch to fix this issue?
  2. Re-enabling the GPU in my DSDT yields no results when booting with Switchable Graphics on. The GPU is detected correctly, however HDMI or the like is not. My guess is it's still trying to use IGPU.
  3. Yeah, figured. I disabled the NVIDIA GPU under Windows and HDMI/DVI/DP stopped working. Going to try and develop a method to get both GPU's working.
  4. Yeah, I was reading up and having been trying to patch the AppleIntelFramebufferAzul.kext using Pike R. Alpha's AppleIntelFramebufferAzul.sh. Was trying a few configurations and also tried your configuration however still no HDMI.
  5. Trying to fix boot lag, as in for about the first 30 seconds there is lag, can tell because the mouse is all jumpy, some items load slow. Could that be because the CPU is running at a lower frequency at boot, or is it because I'm running off an USB 2.0 USB TO IDE EHDD? I've generated a SSDT using Pike R. Alpha's script and checking/viewing the P States using AppleIntelInfo.kext. Seems to work fine and am able to see all the P States. However, just when reading up, according to this page: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/295587-power-management-for-sandyivy-bridgehaswell-cpus/ I should be seeing the AppleLPC, X86PlatformPlugin & ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin kexts loaded, but I only see the X86PlatformPlugin.kext loaded.
  6. Ah yeah, I had a look at those but none of them seem to relate to my laptop, so I'll just have to develop my own patch. Are DP, DVI & HDMI possible on the HD 4600?
  7. Just tested the rest of the ports on my dock. As I already knew, the DVI & DP ports don't work, same with the VGA port. The Serial/Parallel ports don't work and the same with the PS/2 ports - not going to use those ports anyway. However USB 2.0/3.0 ports, the Ethernet port and the eSATA/USB combo port, as well as the Headphone/Microphone jacks all work fine. Also I can't seem to find that AC Adapter fix you're talking about.
  8. I'll have a look for that AC Adapter fix. Managed to get Audio working by completely removing AppleHDA.kext & AppleHDAALC.kext then re-installing them using Kext Utility. Afterwards I verified & repaired permissions with Disk Utility and after a reboot, Audio is working again. I'll install CodecCommander anyway, as I'm sure it'll be needed when I get sleep working properly. As for HDMI & HDMI Audio, they do not work. Come to think of it, I use a Dell E-Port Plus Advanced Replicator II Dock. (http://accessories.ap.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=au&l=en&s=dhs&cs=audhs1&sku=452-11521) The dock seemed to work fine when Optimus was off and only the NVIDIA GPU was active. So I'd like to try and get that working if at all possible. On the laptop directly I have DP, VGA & HDMI. Not expecting VGA to work as its not supported, don't use it anyway. The dock has 2 DP, 2 DVI & 1 VGA. I'll do a thorough test of all the dock features (USB 3.0, Ethernet, etc) later.
  9. Yeah, thanks for the links. I did some research of my own. Ethernet works via AppleIntelE1000e v3.10, and the SD Card patch works a charm too. ACPIBatteryManager works, and enables the battery icon, however it always reports as 0% and on battery the screen dims and brightness - quite annoying. Looks like I'll have to try a DSDT edit. One really annoying thing that happened though, was that the Audio which was working fine, just stopped working. No idea what happened. All I did was install the kexts, and yeah. I wonder what could be causing this odd behaviour.
  10. Thanks for that, DVD Player is all working fine. Disabled automatic opening though, since I don't want to change the region. Yep that's the same SD Card Reader. Just says: Vendor: 1217 Device: 8520 Sub Ven: 1028 Sub Dev: 05CC Vendor Name: O2 Micro, Inc. Is there a way to test USB speeds?, or if they show up correctly in System Profiler, the speeds fine. Also with the Audio, was just curious how you came up with those 3 Clover patches? Just realised there's no battery icon, so I guess that doesn't work. Haven't tested ethernet either.
  11. Alright, tested DVD Player, strange. It used to work but now its reporting that it can't find a valid drive.
  12. Thanks, I'll have a read of that thread. Testing DVD Player now, I do know that under supported features, it lists HD as Unsupported. Yes this model does have an SD Card reader (O2 Micro), doesn't work straight up though. Webcam works perfectly, light goes on and off as it should, no lag etc. USB 3.0 ports are detected under system profiler, but I have yet to actually test the USB 3.0 speeds as I don't have a USB 3.0 device. But for USB 2.0 they work perfectly. Not sure how to test the speeds though.
  13. Well, I haven't tried getting sleep to work as I'm running OS X off an external hard drive. Just running it off of an EHDD till I get everything working (except sleep of course), then I'll install OS X on my Internal HDD. Not sure what else to look for. What are the common functions to get working? Also, I'm using a Mavericks ALPS VoodooPS2Controller.kext from hackintosh.zone: http://www.hackintosh.zone/downloads/download/211-alps-multitouch-trackpad-kext-for-mavericks-109x/ However I'm not completely sure this is the best version, but it was the only version I could find that works.
  14. To be honest, I'm not exactly sure. I removed the audio injection from Clover as we have the injection done through the DSDT Other than that I was just working on the other patches and suddenly after a reboot it was working. It was straight after I added the nv_disable = 1 to my boot args, however it doesn't make sense cause after I removed the arg, audio still works. As for brightness, I have also installed RehabMan's ACPIBacklight, which works & there were also key maps for the Display under Keyboard in System Preferences. Original keys were F14 & F15, I changed them to F7 & F8.
  15. Well, bit off but after playing around with the backlight, audio started working. Even headphones work & mic work.
