  1. Hi sorry for late reply. I removed Dell5488.kext from my kext folder and updated my config using propertree but still did not solve the sleep wake issue. Interestingly, when i use clover, this issue does not exist. Actually, i reinstalled and copied exactly the EFI folder from his github (OpenCore version 0.5.6 same issue, then upgraded to version 0.5.9 same issue).

  2. Yes I did clear the NVRam. Actually, there is a repo in github that provided the EFI folder for my specific laptop. Im not sure what is this for but it was included in the Clover version. I tried to remove it and what happened is the hotkeys did not function properly. (hotkeys to adjust brightness is broken. for volume, still working without pressing the FN key. if i pressed together with shift key, there will be a sound. pressing FN+Insert will put my device to sleep and screen blacks out. I would not be able to wake the laptop and need to force shutdown. I attached the kext file for you to see.

  3. i do not know what happened. i just take these commands below and now i cannot use the FN to adjust the volume. It works if i press shift and not FN. FN+Insert still works but got the sleep black screen issue.

    sudo pmset -g

    Disable Hibernation

    sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0

    sudo rm /var/vm/sleepimage

    sudo mkdir /var/vm/sleepimage

    Disable other hibernation options

    sudo pmset -a standby 0

    sudo pmset -a autopoweroff 0

  4. I converted to OpenCore from Clover. Everything works except the sleep function. When i put the laptop to sleep after 2-3minutes and when try to wake the laptop by pressing keyboard or mouse, it will not wake. only black screen then reboot. attached here is the kernel panic and my config list. macos 10.15.5 opencore version 0.5.6. i also attached the photo of my EFI folder. thanks in advance

  5. here is the copy of my ioreg as per your request. i was able to boot with the card enabled. my only issue now is that the wifi is not recognized in hackintool under pcie. im 100% sure that last time it was shown there and that is the reason i just copy the device path of the wifi card as mentioned in daliansky website. i will try to remove the io80211family kext and will report back.

  6. yes. i used the hackintool and the location shown for the wifi is this. If i put the (0x1c,0x0) as per guide in daliansky website, i could not able to boot and encounter the same kernel panic. when i booted using the usb drive, i can see the wifi but could not find any connection. i also tried adding the brcmfx-country=#a and brcmfx-driver=1 to no avail. quiet unlucky as it works once but i accidentally spoiled my system when i try to install windows in a different drive.

  7. Please help. I encountered some kernel panic (as per attached photo) when I installed the new Broadcom wifi card (DW1820A [cn-0vw3t3]). If I switched off WLAN and Bluetooth in BIOS settings, I would be able to boot in to macOS but using the bootable USB without the kexts and patches as per instruction in this link :https://blog.daliansky.net/DW1820A_BCM94350ZAE-driver-inserts-the-correct-posture.html#more

I also attached my kext files folder as well as the changes made in device properties in Clover. I made it to work once (Wifi and Bluetooth all working) but I accidentally deleted my EFI partition when installing Windows in another drive so I opted to do a fresh install of macOS.

    Laptop (Dell Inspiron 5480)

    macOS version: 15.5.5

Appreciate who can help me resolve this issue.
