  1. I removed the -v from the Nvram file. Left the -f booted fine afterwards. I will finish tomorrow. Thanks all for your help. Greatly appreciated.
  2. I pressed spacebar again, -v -f was back in there. Removed and only used -f booted right up, quick. How do I permanently remove -v?
  3. I took Herve's advice... pressed spacebar. I did see the flags -v -f I removed them, system booted into Apple logo with wheel spinning... stayed there for a very long time. Never went to login screen.
  4. This is my org.chameleon.boot.plst Looks like GraphicsEnabler is set to YES <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>DSDT</key> <string>/Extra/dsdt.aml</string> <key>DropSSDT</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>EnableHDMIAudio</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1920x1080x32</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>HDAEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Instant Menu</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>/Extra/mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>dart=0 -gux_defer_usb2</string> <key>SMBIOS</key> <string>/Extra/smbios.plist</string> <key>SkipAtiGfx</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>SkipNvidiaGfx</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>SystemType</key> <string>2</string> <key>USBBusFix</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>UseKernelCache</key> <string>Yes</string> </dict> </plist>
  5. Here is a dumb question... how do I get to kextwizard??
  6. It takes me to the boot loader, I press enter on my HDD to boot into Mavericks - not using -v -f It goes directly into the scrolling pages of text. Just noticed that sound is not working either. Thanks for the link to wireless cards.
  7. I am thinking of just purchasing a usb wifi receiver - any specific model?
  8. I was able to install Mavericks using this guide: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/6472-dell-latitude-e7240e7440-with-mavericks-1095-updated/ Installed fine. Boots from HDD as well - only thing is that it scrolls thru about a dozen scripts before prompting login screen. Also, my wifi does not work - I have an internal Intel wifi card.
  9. I am using the Bootpack in Post #4 https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/7478-dell-latitude-yosemite-install-guide/ Using the patched kernel Latitude_E7x40.zip 6.31MB 246 downloads
  10. Reset BIOS, set HDD to AHCI - still won't load installer.
  11. Tried it with GraphicsEnabler=no -x maximum=4096 same thing.
  12. Tried -v -f -no-zp (stopped at System Uptime in nanoseconds: )
  13. Tried it with graphicsenabler=no -x maxmem=4096 Getting the same thing...
  14. I used Haswell 10.10.2 on usb installer. Now I can't get to the installer. I was typing graphicsenabler=no -x maxmem=4096 to load it, now this won't work. This is all I get: (This was happening before... using graphicsenabler=no -x maxmem=4096 would start installer though)
  15. I apologize... I did type in /Volumes/"Macintosh SSD"/System/Library/Kernels/ Library had a small l in previous post... this returned no errors, brought me back to the -bash command. After I rebooted, still went into the boot loop.
