I'm Dave, I'm 26, and have lived in Bristol (UK) for the past 4 years.
I have never built a hackint0sh before but I have many years experience of building, servicing and troubleshooting computers. I am very experienced with Windows but have very little with OSX and Linux. I have a good working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, assembler, C/C++, Visual Basic .NET, C# and various other technologies. I have a keen interest in electronics and everything 80's, particularly movies, video games and electronic toys.
My brother produces electronic music but his ~4 year old iMac just isn't cutting it any more. His 8+ year old Windows PC also died recently so a dual boot Windows / OSX set up seems the best way to go. We have already built the new system and I have managed to get the i5 2500k stable at 4.7GHz on air. It does go higher than that but the temperatures rise above what I would be comfortable with for long term use.
