  1. Thank you Bronxteck for the information but for now I'll stay like that.

I have a new problem and I know if Mariusz going to help me:

At times, on startup I have a "still waiting for root device", it was just after the line "rooting via boot-uuid"

Have an idea of the problem?

Other than that everything works great :)

    Thank you all.

  2. I understood why I could not get a resolution of 1440x900! I just watched my card configuration: Screen 14.1 WXGA (1280x800).

I could not get my resolution above: (

    It's stupid because my D620: 14.1 WXGA Screen (1440x900).

I will remove my PC to see if I can swap the video cards.

I reversed the screen of the D620 with that of 630 but unfortunately it does not work.

I remain with the résulition of 1280x800, too bad for me.

Thank you again for your help.

  3. High and Low Resolution is a simple DSDT edit:

    For High resolution you need:

    "AAPL01,DualLink",
    Buffer (0x04)
      {
          0x01, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00
      }

Thank you, I used the editor "DSDTSE" to extract "DSDT.aml" but I can not find this line to change, where to put it?

ok I managed to find the lines and I have replaced with yours.

I recompiled the "DSDT" and I have exactly the same problem, bug screen like my picture above. Strange!

I see CRC has right DSDT for you in this post.

that's exactly what file I made and I replaced that caused me a bug screen. And even when I edit that file "D630_GMA_HighResLCD"

  4. Mariusz thank you very much.

Syonagar, thank you for your help I managed (after much testing) to replace the DSDT file from my old file.

Now can you give me the procedure to copy the "DSDT high res" because I have mistaken somewhere: (

I do the following operation: Finder - DSDT replace existing directory "Extra" with "high res DSDT" and restart the computer.

I think there must be something else to do, right?

    Thank you for your help.

  5. Dear Pascal,

Its supposed to be IO80211Family.kext. Probably someone accidentally renamed it while copying.

    Cheers!

yes, in the file "SLE.zip" of "Mariusz" is missing a "1" (see picture)

    post-2712-099587200 1329306817.png

We must rename the file if it does not work.

Here's the zip file with correct file name if it can help others;)

    SLE.zip

  6. Yes it works!

The file "SLE.zip" contains the file "IO8021Family.kext" - I have renamed "IO80211Family.kext" and my wifi works.

Error in file "SLE.zip"? or in some people it works like that?

Anyway for me to handle this solved my problem :)

Now I will try an Combo Update 10.7.3 and coming back to you.

    10.7.3 ok - Wireless ok :)

Very big Think "Mariusz" for your tutorial.

  7. Hello,

I just get a D630 Core 2 Duo and I try to install Lion on it.

I used to post the procedure to create a bootable USB, it works well except I can not have WIFI.

    Here's what I did:

    1) Bios version A17 - All by default except:

    - Bios WIFI = inactive

    - BIOS = SATA AHCI

My wireless card is a "Dell Wireless"

Once the installation process finished, I reboot and activating the wifi in the bios but arrived in the system no wifi mac visible, I tried to create a new connection but I can not check the wifi (gray text) .

How could I turn on wifi please?

    For information I'm using a Lion 10.7.1 - you need it absolutely a 10.7.0?

    Thank you for your help.

  8. I have already made this change file this week but without success, but I think I also changed other files at the same time, I tried again with only that file to see.

Unfortunately for my tests, my wife needs a laptop today and I put the 10.6.7 using Time Machine.

I would put myself tonight (or last night) and I'll keep you informed of the results.

A big thank you for your help.

    Good Sunday.

    Pascal.

  9. Hello, and sorry for my bad English, I'm French.

I have exactly the same problem, I have a D620 with 1390 wireless card.

By installing Snow Leopard 10.6.7 with "Chameleon v2.0 RC5-r665" and EDP 1.7 everything works perfectly, but when I updated to 10.6.8 Combo Update v1.1 wifi is no longer recognized (just an empty triangle and impossible to activate it manually in the preferences. and with the update 10.6.8 v1.1 I find the system slower and USB does not mount automatically when I plug in a USB (I must manually mount in "disk Utility").

But the most important to me at first is to have the wifi, the rest I think I can fix it by trying other Kext.

I did assay to put the Kext versions 10.6.7 to 10.6.0 for the WiiFit but this has not changed, still no wireless with 10.6.8.

But what many have changed to 10.6.7 and 10.6.8 between the wifi to lose?

Another thing important to me to be able to make test, how to inject Chameleon manually on the hard drive when I reinstall a backup with TimeMachine.

Thank you very much for your help.

  10. Hello everyone and thank you again for your site and forum and explanations that you share with us.

To avoid getting into trouble and having to redo all my hachintosh like to know how to update to 10.6.8 still having the wifi functionality.

    I use this tutorial: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/62-dell-latitude-d620-thread/'>https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/62-dell-latitude-d620-thread/
