it's booting, but the black screen is back! i was able to install chameleon on an off-chance safe boot, and to install the kexts in edp. i believe the two it's hanging up on now is the aforementioned intel kext and a mouse driver, but i can't get it to boot so i can change them. thanks for the help so far, guys! i'm excited to get this rolling!

i'm using the image that was put together in the wiki, so i'm not real sure where to input the "-x." i can boot into verbose because there's a dropdown menu from the bootloader included in the image...

refusing kext com.apple.iokit.iographicsfamily v.2.0: already have loaded 1.7.1 kext com.apple.driver.appleintelgmax3100fb start failed (failed to load. (0xd00400a) (0xdc008017) i think those are the two hanging me up, but i'm not sure how to solve these when even my usb is giving me KP now. seems i got lucky on the initial install... hahaha

i flashed the bios, and now i'm getting the "you need to restart your computer" screen where the black screen used to show up. now what? hahahahha

yep! and i have an intel chip.

newbie question, how do i do that? i do have the specified res under the bios...

hi there! so, i have been able to successfully install osx via the image in the wiki on my d630. however, i'm not able to go past the apple logo with the spinning gear (it disappears, and the screen goes black). i'm new to this, so i don't know if this is normal or not...
