Hello
Its about 1 min 50 seconds from zero to full desktop. How about with normall hdd?
-
Thank you, I could boot the system via usb keys bootloader. After that I did the EDP 3 install. Some how the script didnt work but with the manual system did the trick. My clean install was 10.7 and I was gladly surprised because I did the 10.7.4 combo update and system was working directly without any tricks.

I have earlier successfully installed Lion to this Latitude D630 Nvidia but now when trying to do the installation with new Myhack 3.12 I have no success. Done so far; created usb installer with Myhack 3.12 in my MacMini. Added the right bootback afterwards. When installing everything goes well but after the first boot the system stucks.
When booting with -v I can see that the system says when stuck:
macx_swapon SUCCESS
Waiting for DSMOS...
Thats it. I hope you can help me out!
Thanks guys for the good work.

I gave it a go on a D620, hangs on boot. So hold off for now.
Specifically it has a long pause on ACPI, and then proceeds a bit and stops on "waiting for root device." no kernel panics, so I will be patient and see if a solution can be found.
The same happened to me with my D430, no more booting..

Thank you, so I understand now that there is no low battery shutdown.

Hello
I am running Lion 10.7.3 in my D430 1,2GHz Latitude with EDP2.2. When running on almost empty battery, the computer directly shuts down without any controlled suspend or shutdown. What I want to know, is there a fix or driver that controls the shutdown when battery is almost empty.
Thanks

Hi markitos,
Can you post more detail on the error message?
Cheers!
Hi
This is what I have done so far
-Updated the bios to A17
-Changed the sata-mode to ahci
-Created the usb-install stick (8GB) with Myhack-method, used Osx Lion and the D630 extra-folder
-The installation boots up from the stick but soon after the apple logo appears this error:
Hopefully someone can help me.

The myhack method is great, I use that method. Yes you need to have mac installed, even if its in a virtual machine, like vmware. Ive attached my Extra Folder, when myHack ask for Extra point it to where ever you extracted the attached file and it will do the rest, rather than using the generic kexts it ships with.
here's the guide for myHack.
Just a side note. The extensions in the extra directory, I put them in /S/L/E instead of /E/E. You should in theory be able to use them from /E/E though.
The PS/2 Driver I included in this pack I have touchpad and J-stick working. but no scrolling, thats not a big deal for me as I dont use scrolling on the touchpad. I know there are others that work with scrolling in the EDP pack. the anv-slice version does, but the keyboard part of that kext only works when running OSX in 32bit mode, so I dont use it.
hope this helps.
Hello
Hopefully someone can help me, I am a newbie. i did everything like this instruction says and all I get is a kernel panic (something about cpu) when the installation should start. I have a D630 Nvidia.
Thanks

Thanks Seb, I got ML installed to my D630c Nvidia. Everything works well and I think it boots up faster than Lion 10.7.4.
