  1. Ok I got the new, used processor in and sure enough I now have Lion installed. Next it's figureing out what to do with WIFI I am also having an issue with Video. I have the NVidia Graphics. I went through the wiki but am just getting 1024X768 And the About This Mac does Say it's the GeForce Go 7400 256MB Thanks
  2. Ok, now that I have that figured out. Thanks for the clarification. I picked up a core 2 duo processor from a computer shop that my buddie owns and will maybe do the install tonight of the new processor. I'll post my success/failure in the next few days. Thanks,
  3. Well I am trying to install Lion as I have seen others with Success. Anyway I tried removing those Kexts and got the same results. Thanks
  4. Dang, that 2.1 did not do the trick, no difference. I also tried the latest 3.0. Neither helped. The installer starts to load and several pages of Kexts etc load and the screen goes blank and the action stops on the USB drive. See Video Thanks
  5. I'm not 100% certain what the version is. 2.2 I think, but is was from two weeks ago around the 10th so more then likely version 2 of some sort. I see a post from yesterday now that version 3 is out. Are you thinking that I should give that a try? Or is there an older version? Thanks,
  6. I have followed the Hackmi installer from the Wiki and redid my USB stick several times. When it gets to a bout 45 seconds worth of loading the screen goes blank. System Specs: Bio Version = A10 Processor Type = Intel ® Core™ Duo processor Current Clock Speed 2.0 GHz Video Controller = Quadro NVS 120M Video Bios Version = 005.072.022.021.164.000 Video Memory = 256 MB This is where I started posting and felt I should create my own thread. There are a couple of things that were tried and failed there. Original post Also keep in mind I have tried several install methods and they all stop at the same place. Any thoughts or help would be great Thanks,
  7. I'm seeing that the Dell D820 only goes up to a10. And that is what I have it to. Thanks again for the help.
  8. Thanks for looking into this. Yes Bio Version = A10 Processor Type = Intel ® Core Duo processor Current Clock Speed 2.0 GHz Video Controller = Quadro NVS 120M Video Bios Version = 005.072.022.021.164.000 Video Memory = 256 MB Any other thoughts?
  9. Darn, I saw your reply and rushed home in hopes that that would be the fix. Same result. Several pages of Kexts load then it the screen just goes blank. And the light in the USB stick stops flickering. So just to be sure I am doing it right...I put that new DSDT.aml file in my Extra folder on the USB stick. One other thing that wasn't super clear was...The EDP-2.2 I would install once I get Lion installed. The BootPack is what I put on the USB Stick..the Extra Folder with the goodies that should run my D820 to boot to the installer. Thanks again,
  10. Hi, I followed the Wiki and using the Hackme installer method to make a USB Stick, with the D820 Nvidia Package I got the same result. With -x -v and or CPUS=1 -x -v It seems like it gets to the point where it is about to load the graphics and the screen goes blank and the it seems like there is no action coming from the USB stick at all. Any help would be greatly appreiceated. Thanks, IamSam
  11. I created a boot USB Stick with unifail. When I boot using -x -v or just -v the start up gets to the part of loading Kexts where I think the graphics are supposed to kick in...the screen just goes blank and it seems like the booting process just stalls. And the screen just stays blank. Thanks,
