I've bought the BCM 4352 and to replace my Atheros. Wifi ac is working very well in all OS . Replacing the card solves the computer sleep which works better right now. But I'm not able to detect the bluetooth card with my N550JV and I don't know why. One samsung user has the same problem. 

 

This card is recommend on the osxlatitude forum and insanelymac but bluetooth seems to have some issues with some laptop. I'm trying to resolve it so if I find something, I'll tell you because it's a very good card for wifi

hey all, i'v just installed the Atheros AR5B195 (wifi + Bluetooth) and it works fine. i have a question about the bluetooth, the bluetooth work well; there is only wired problem with the apples magic trackpad, it works completely fine for one and two fingers (clicking and scrolling) but when i try 3/4 fingers gestures, even when i just touch the trackpad with 3/4 fingers it freezes for 20 sec or so and the trackpad stop responding (i can still move the pointer with another mouse or the laptop trackpad) then it get back to work again... someone have idea what can it be? (i know the trackpad is fine because i pair it with macbook and it works fine)

and by the way, Tberdy did you manage to fix the bluetooth?

My current Clover config and dsdt are attached to the post. Display brightness control is working just right now, just be sure to use Clover's EmuVariableUefi-64.efi driver (better install it with the newest Clover) However, we still cannot disable Nvidia since 10.9.2.

And check SMBIOS section... You may want to change it as you like as per leaks of serials for MacBookPro11,2/3 (there is a list in pikeralpha's blog at wordpress).

If i want to install the newest clover do i need to install it and then replace only the dsdt and the config files that you gave us? is it enough or should i do anything els more?

ok... really... im about to give up on this clover hacintosh story.. its driving me crazy. i'v formatted and re install it for 6 times i think. please i dont understand what the problem, i thought it was the "-v" ... maybe its becuse windows update? it happened twice because windows update that clover cant recognize "boot os x" and when i look on the os x drive in windows its corrupted and i get the messege "the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable" when before it happened i could explore inside the drive like a normal drive.

please if someone have an idea im helpless

So i see its goona be format and reinstall it again.. so anyway for the next time is it sopose to work if i delet the -v from the boot args in clover option menu or should i write somthing insted the -v or there is no way to make clover load without the verbose boot?

That's impossible IMHO. You've removed only "-v" from bootargs and now you've got no option "Boot Mac OS X" in Clover GUI? You might have done something else...

no im sure. everything worked fine then i start my computer went to clover options and removed the "-v" from the boot args. thats all. then i pressed enter on "boot mac os x" it start loading without the verbose boot as i wanted. i'v waited for few minutes and nothing happens (except this apple loading screen with the apple and that circle shape..) then i'v restart my computer and since then i dont have the option "boot mac os x" in clover menu.. 

i'v also tried to boot using my original clover usb stick and same result. 

i don't see how that would affect chameleon.

its clover not chameleon and where is this nvram?

add a theme and make sure you do not have  -v flag in your org.chameleon.Boot.plist or in nvram

i'v moved the "-v" from bootargs because i thought that what you meant but now clover dosent show mac osx at all in the boot menu... what can i do to fix it?

i've installed os x 10.9 and after 10.9.1 on my n550jv-cm159h using niresh's mavericks and the amokk's clover zip and other kext find in this and other topic...everything work except iCloud,iMessage and FaceTime..do you know how to fix this problem?

hi every one! i'v successfully installed osx on my pc thanx to you guys so for that i want to thank each one of you that posted here in this topic and spacial thanx to amokk for his great work thank you!

for now i downloaded this clover update by amokk and replace it with the old clover folder i had who worked already for me but with this folder i can't boot.. did any body had problems with this update? any ideas?

and another thing, if any one knows to share if he got better p-state with the macbook pro11,2 then the 8,3 that mentioned earlier here that get the best result? and one last thing is if we have a solution for sleep?

When I tried to setup a new clover install on a new USB, the new USB was detected as "UEFI : USB2.0".

When I press enter the screen blink and go immediatly back to the bios settings. No way to boot it. 

To solve that I add manually the Clover USB entry. 

in the BIOS (UEFI mode) :

- add a new entry 

- path : choose your usb drive / EFI /CLOVER/CloverX64.efi

- name : TheNameYouWant

- don't forget to save the entry

- boot the entry 

 

this work for me.

 

For the setting I use stock setting (UEFI mode).

But now of course I have new questions =]

so after i installed the osx should i install clover on the osx install?

for now i just mount the system drive and added to there the clover efi folder so i can boot without usb but if i will want to update clover one day how can i do that? should i just install it on my system drive? and is it normal that i needed to install the kexts in the clover folder manually by kext wizard?

and how can i change clover settings now? like theme and the settings that you talk about here? i'v found clover Configurator is that the right tool for that? 

I try to make it organized. My questions are:

1.should i install clover on the same usb with osx install or on a different one.

2.what setting canges should i do in the clover instalation

3.can i use the latset clover ver or the efi folder provided by amok is only for spesific clover version.

4. What bios settings should i pay attention to?

What do you mean when you say I can't enter Clover ?

i installed clover with defult settings on another usb stick, restart my computet, pressed esc get to the boot menu chose my clover stick and my pc goes back to the bios setting scren.

i dont know if bios settings is wroneg or clover settings are.. the bios ver is 208.

Any suggestions?

Maybe I was not clear .. I wanted to know if there is a problem with this manual operation because my hard disk is not mac hard disk so its not formated with disk utility so if i change stuff with terminal its can fuck it up?

Hmm I thought maybe the partition H: isn't big enough but it's 43.9 Gb so you can try the following:

 

- Delete the partition and make with free space an new partition Mac Os X (Journaled)

- Boot to Windows/Linux or another OS and make a free space (unallocated space) so you can try to make partition Mac Os X (Journaled) on OS X

i'v tried every thing you wrote but no success... by the way to verify disk permission the disk has to be format to mac allredy so i cant do that...

I thought Asus n550jv comes with 1TB 5400 RPM HD. So I think the problem is that your HD isn't fully formated in GUID but instead in MBR which makes it impossible to use journaled.

 

Mine HD came in GUID so I could install without problems with journaled partition.

Hello everyone!

recently i sold my macbook pro and bought asus n550.

i'm new in this Hackintosh world and i read the whole topic, follow everything very carefully... and after few days i manage to get only to the installation screen..

any way, my problem now is that im stuck in the disk utillity stage, i'v tried to format one paratition of my hard drive into mac journaled so i will be able to install mavericks os x but i get error messege "volume erase failed with the error: mediakit reports not enough space on device for requested operation". 

i'v tried every thing, google it, search in the forum, tried to format by "gparted", but it format only to hfs/hfs+, not journaled, so its not working for installing osx on that paratition.

i have 750GB (7200) hard drive with 3 paratitions: C:(the windows paratition 279GB-NTFS), D:(for data-NTFS, 354GB), H:the paratition i want to install mavericks on - 43.9GB

I will be grateful for your help =]
