  1. Hello,

I installed Sierra, and my trackpad is not working (very slow, no multitouch...) with basic Voodoo kext by rehabman.

    I have the ALPS V8, with this ID : E7=0x73 0x03 0x50, EC=0x73 0x02 0x02.

I used this kext (http://www.osx86.net/files/file/3998-voodoops2controller-acer-aspire-v3-771/) on Yosemite and it worked great. But on Sierra, I have a kernel panic.

Can I merge something ? How to upgrade the kext ?

    Thanks

  2. Hello,

I have ALPS trackpad, version 8. All previously files don't work on Mavericks.

Is there somebody working on it ? Or any other people who need this kext also ?

    I really need help please.

Currently, I have only the mouse without any scroll, and it is not very easy to use.

    Thanks

  3. You two have differebt problems... @stolidedog, you have a problem with the loading of the kext, but the kext you reffered you is very similar to the merge, less multitoich work, but I would just live with that one.

@adrien240, your problem is that your trackpad is not officially supported, and unless you talk to yeahoon and get him to add the device IDs you will have no luck whatsoever.

Ah ok. Edits needed in info.plist so !?

I send a PM, we will see :).

    Cheers.

  4. @adrien240 you should try the yeahoon merge above, it was written my me and yeahoon off of the bpedman base. It has a wider device support and new features. Post your outcome. Happy late new year!!!

    Thank you for your answer.

I tried installing Yeahoon merge. It doesn't work. The mouse is not working, the keyboard works.

Positive point : this is the first time I can access to trackpad preference and .prefPane.

This file org.rehabman.voodoo.driver.Daemon.plist is not in the folder. Do I need to use it from Voodoo version from Rehabman Github ?

In the terminal, I have :

    mbp-de-idrien:Release_ALPS_131207 iDrien$ kextstat|grep -y ps2

       34    3 0xffffff7f80c01000 0xe000     0xe000     org.rehabman.voodoo.driver.PS2Controller (1.8.8) <10 7 5 4 3 1>

       58    0 0xffffff7f80c2a000 0x5000     0x5000     org.rehabman.voodoo.driver.PS2Keyboard (1.8.8) <34 31 7 6 5 4 3 1>

       59    0 0xffffff7f80c0f000 0xf000     0xf000     org.rehabman.voodoo.driver.PS2Trackpad (1.8.8) <34 31 7 6 5 4 3 1>

       60    0 0xffffff7f80c24000 0x4000     0x4000     org.rehabman.voodoo.driver.PS2Mouse (1.8.8) <34 31 5 4 3>

Everything seems to ok, isn't it ?

    Thank you,

    Adrien

  5. Hello,

    Thank you for this project.

I know this thread is more for Latitude computer. Actually I have a Sony Vaio Sb with ALPS SNY9014, and some of Vaio Sa users are able to use bpeman merge with their trackpad.

Normally Vaio Sa and Sb users have the same ALPS touchpad, which is ALPS SNY9014. But on my Vaio Sb it doesn't work, and cannot find any solution.

If I use the kext provided by bpeman, I have the keyboard which works perfectly, but the mouse is very slow, and I cannot use it.

May I know if any of you has the same ALPS whith a working kext please ? And if you had the same problem ?

Sorry for my english, I am french :/.

    Cheers,

    Adrien
