  1. Yes, you can just use this bootpack for new boot disk and skip the EDP as it's fully tuned. Bootpack will work up to 10.9.5, let me know if you need one for Yosemite.

    Sounds like you have voodoohda stuff removed except the preference pane, you could just right-click and select remove. 

    As for brightness control, use Fn+F3(ScrollLock) and Fn+Insert(Pause).

     

    I'm interested to Yosemite Bootpack, I have the same laptop but with Intel i3-2310M.

  2. Hello, I tried to install AppleHDA in E/E and run my fix full , but still not working ...
    I tried also to re-install Mavericks 10.9 (without upgrade to 10.9.1) and use the AppleHDA 2.5.2 or 2.6.0 ... it not works, the only kext file that work in the version 2.5.3 (except the mic), it is very strange.
    I'm not finding the solution, if you have any ideas will be accept.
