I'm running 10.9.4 on E6530 well.. 

1. Fan settings - you could try in bios ..choose a different setting - I dont see this isse

2. My exts have changed a lot - i can send a copy if you need

3. mine run hot as well.. it is normally because optimus is turned off and ur using the nvidia card all the time..needs more power

4. You can try 10.9.4.. U will have an issue with audio.. i'm using the VoodooHDA which works fine...

My system is Dell E6530, i7-3540, HD4000, 1920x1080

My current version is Mavericks 10.9.3, I upgraded from 10.9.2

 

My problem is that I do not have sound working at all and I am using the latest AppleHDA you provided, Apple HDA provided for 10.9.2 also doesn't work (it didn't for 10.9.2 either)

 

These are the lines containing AppleHDA from system.log

I assume the first 3 warnings are ok but the next lines are not

Same here... I switched to VoodooHDA...

BTW Having strange issues with Sound.. esp. using Flash.. after 10 15 mins.. The sound goes on Mute.. Eg. Playing a You tube video in Chrome..or any flash for the matter...sound still seems to be working (testing by increasing/decreasing volume)..Anyone else seeing this?

Key is the installing the latest version of Chemeleon. I updated the kext didnt help until chameleon is updated. Sound works after updating Chameleon.
