  1. ktbos, believe it or not but your boot.plist did the job ! The hibernate works like a charm. I just replaced my file by yours, nothing more, no rm of sleepimage, no new install. (oh I just removed the AddressBook app but with no effect)

I'll make more tests with virtual machines and others applications to see if one of them interfere with the hibernate mode.

I've put both files for comparaison here, with mine at the left and your boot.plist at the right :

As you can see, the difference that may matter is probably located at the first key (?)

Anyway, ktbos, you made my day !

  2. Hello ktbos,

I finally tried your files after hours of backups and unfortunately, my situation is not really better.

We apparently have the same /Extra/smbios.plist and I've put your DSDT.aml instead of mine but the hibernate still results with one working screen over two. (as you can see below)

About the VoodooHDA.kext, I cannot tell if it is much better or not but I still have some additional noise when loud bass notes are played. (that's not annoying, the sound is clear but it's not 'super perfect').

Here is what I have when I quit the hibernate mode  :

Did I missed something about your files ? Did you put something unusual in your org.chameleon.Boot.plist ? Or maybe another mach_kernel ?

  3. Realz, do you have sound and hibernate working?  And if so, did you need to do anything more than what is described in this thread to get them working?  Any kexts different on yours than in the guide, for example?

ktbos, the sound is working, not the best sound but it's okay.

For the hibernate this is another story.. When it wakes up, I have one screen which is working fine and the other one is stripped with green and black lines forcing me to reboot.

I admit that's annoying but I fear to break something because it's actually my working machine.

So, no different kexts for me.

This is my Extra folder :

  4. I made a lot of tests and I succeeded to install and boot on OSX 10.9.4 with an other bootloader because chameleon from myHack results in a bootloop..

I tried to reinstall Chameleon rev2378 but my computer instantly reboot after selecting the 10.9.4 hard drive..

The single way to boot on this 10.9.4 is with the CloverUSB Key and in the safe mode only...

Did I missed a config about the bootloader related to this OSX version ?

I put the generated SSDT into the Extra folder too but it seems to have no better effect.

  5. Yes, the 10.9.0 image works perfectly with the guide and I was able to update it to the 10.9.1.

I saw that many people had the same issue with the 10.9.2 upgrade and it seems to be related to the FakeSMC.kext but my tries to update it in the Extra folder failed...

I'll try to install the 10.9.4 on a new hard drive to test it. If it fails, I'll try to extract the DSDT from my windows hard drive and do the patching.

And perhaps, attempt a 10.10 install..

  6. ktbos, thank you for your reply, it's very helpful.

When creating the installer with myHack, use a 10.9.4 InstallESD image so you can skip over any updates.

That's what I missed, I used this same guide and the 10.9 image instead of using the 10.9.4.. It seems obvious now but I didn't know that we could find 10.9.4 images...

I'll create a time machine and try a new fresh install with this image and see what happens.

Unfortunately, I have an i5 so my DSDT may differ from yours but is that so different ?

Anyway, I'll try all this, thank you.

  7. Can wait to see your results on this.

I'll try to disable the wake-on-lan in the BIOS and set the hibernate mode to 3 and see what happens.

By the way, do you know how can I resolve the "Waiting for DSMOS" error when booting after the 10.9.2 update ? I can't find what I missed here and nobody mentioned this error with this computer.

  8. Hi there,

I'm interested about your progression on this computer.

I also tried to install 10.9.2 but I was struck on the loading screen with the "Waiting for DSMOS".. I gave up on this and I'm now working with 10.9.1...

About the sleep/wake up, sometimes one of my two screens don't wake up or wakes up only with green strips on screen.. but in most cases, they both wake up properly. (I added -gux_defer_2)

Can we have hope for 10.10 ?
