@Jake I met a new issue. I changed the SSD from 128G to Crucial 240G and installed OSX as https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/7478-dell-latitude-yosemite-install-guide/&do=findComment&comment=45213. After finishing Step 4. I tried to boot from Macintosh SSD. But I couldn't get the chemaleon boot screen. What I got on the screen is as following: boot0: GPT boot0: test boot0: test boot0: test boot0: GPT boot0: test boot0: test boot0: test boot0: error Please help, thanks!

It works, thanks Jake! One more issue, The OS X losts keyboard sometimes after being waked up from power saving mode. At the login screen, no mouse pointer and echo in password field even you are fingering the touchpad and typing keys. I disabled the bluetooth. It seems OK now.

@Jake, Do you mean 1. at bootup screen adding "> /System/Library/Kernels/kernel" instead of "-v -f"? 2. under /System/Library/Kernels/, there is only one file which is kernel. What does o.c.b.p mean? and how to add "> /System/Library/Kernels/kernel"? Please could you elaborate? Thanks!

I re-installed. Everything looks fine, but still can't boot up without -v- f. Please find the screen shot with only -v. Please guide. Merry X'mas and Happy New Year!

Thanks very Thanks very much! Jake! Today progress 1. Bootup from HDD After applied above, there is a recovery HD being added. System can boot up with -v -f flags. 2. Wifi enabled First: Rebanding BCM943225HMB, following http://www.osxlatitude.com/rebranding-broadcom-802-11abgn-cards-as-airport-extreme/ Then, copy" IO80211Family.kext" form / System/Library/Extensions find "Plugin folder" inside IO80211Family.kext using Share Package Contents You will find AirportBcm4331.kext--------- adding pci14e4,4357 in info.plist and save AirportBcm4360.kext----------adding pci14e4,4357 in info.plist and save AppleAirportBcm43224.kext-----adding pc14e4,4322 in info.plist and save. I guess this step is irrelevant. but anyway I keep it there. Copy edited "IO80211Family.kext" back to /System/Library/Extensions reboot. Wow.... really excited! Pending issue. 1. Can't bootup without -v-f flags. The boot up process stops in the middle of black apple screen. 2. Language input hotkey. In MACbook it is Command+Space. I tired windows + space, it doesn't work. Hi Jake, I was going to use Chameleon to install OSX on my E6220 as you posted here: http://forum.osxlati...ide/#entry45213 On step 3, 11. When Chameleon boot screen is visible, choose Macintosh SSD or your existing Install drive with -v -f flags but the screen shows "can't find /system/library/Kernels/Kernel I checked the kernel is there. BTW, the Yosemite icon has RAID inside. Please could you guide? Thanks very much! Corydon

Some progress: Ethernet works. Pending issues: 1. Can't boot up without USB 2. Wifi doesn't work. I brought a BCM4322 Wfi-bluetooth card and installed in the WLAN slot. But the system shows no PCI card installed. Anything else needs to be done? 3. No sound 4. Macintosh SSD just has 11.2G I didn't have Windows system. I assignd whole SSD(128G) to OS X. Please advise! Thanks, Jake! I did use clover configurator to mount EFI. Now it seems I did all steps. The only difference is I used a default 6220 DSDT for patch. But I still couldn't bootup without USB. The progress is In BIOS I could added UEFI Boot Option. When I try to add boot option,BIOS shows "File System list" : PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(1x1F, 0x2)/Sata(0x0, 0x0)/HD(1, GPT, EFD3597B-1601-4. Please could you guide? ps, does Yoesmite support LAN adapter of E62220?

Thanks Jake ! very helpful 1. In disable the Intel [+] to intel [] in the grahic injection menu of Clover. It works. 2. in Bios, Set SATA to AHCI The OSX seems installed, but ethernet doesn't work. I have no internet access. Q1: How could I fix it? Now stuck at Post installation phase, 7. Copy the EFI folder of usb to EFI partition. Q2: How could I copy EFI folder to EFI partition, as I can only see EFI partition in Terminal. 8. Open /Install OSX Yosemite/EFI/efi/clover/acpi/origin, Copy dsdt.aml to your desktop. 9. Download MaciASL Q3: Where could I download it? 10. Run MacIASL, go to Preferences and set to ACPI 4.0, then open dsdt.aml on your desktop. Click Patch button, download one of the patches here and apply: - 1366x768: Download - 1600x900: Download Click Compile to check for errors, if no error, you can save the file with File Format: ACPI Machine Language Library, name DSDT.aml to /EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched/ (of HDD EFI partition) 11. Open Clover Configurator and import config.plist (in EFI partiton) and edit those values: · ACPI > GeneratePStates/CStates: uncheck · SMBIS: create your new SMBIOS (Macbook Pro 8,1) with random Serial Number Then EXPORT config.plist to /EFI/Clover/ of EFI partition 12. Hi experts, My dell is E6220 with i7 4G ram 128G SSD. Has Win7 installed. I followed the instruction step by step, but I got some odd output. 1. The USD boot loader seems working. I saw the Clover menu. After selecting OS X installed from Install OS X Yosemite and pressing Enter. I could see a white Apple with a progress bar under it. But several minutes later, the monitor display shined and split into 4 identical subscreens. Each has a OS X welcome page. Did I do something wrong? 2. After that, I went to disk tools menu(very small font as it was 1/4 of the full screen). On the left, I could see USB diver(7.8G) on the top .There are 2 drivers below. Driver 1(5.4G) OS X ESD and OS X Base System(1.29G) . My SSD is 128G. Where is it? It seems the clover didn't load or recognize the SSD. Could I have you help? Thanks! Corydon
