Allright, going to try and install a DW1560  E7450 Wifi and bluetooth card in, before it arrives, any last minute pointers on getting it installed in (Relative to the original clover plst and kexts) without breaking the brightness?

Oh sweet moriya it works! I dont know what part of the SSDT USB doesn't work (The flash drive I used for setup and mouse works fine) but if any problems arise, I shall rectify them. Thanks for sticking through till the end Jake!

Yes that is correct, it is the Intel HD Graphics. I've had Legacy Boot ROMs disabled from the start, and I will remove that SSDT and wait for your patched one.

I noticed when I put the display to sleep for about half a second it brigthens up to a reasonable level then dims,. Furthermore, when I reset after booting it retains the low brightness even in the BIOS, but when I shutdown, it re-brigthenes in the BIOS and clover. Could it have something to do with the intelbrightnesslevel perhaps?

What about the brightness control in the settings menu? Is there any way to fix that? Also when I do this, the brightness icon shows up but nothing happens. Its still dim! I cant use the key to change this OR the settings menu, even though it shows up like it works. I can "adjust" the slider "adjust" using the keys, but the level stays constant.

I see the brightness control, but the slider does not do anything of note. The Fn key does not do anything at all. Here is the new Debug routine 

along with the brightness screen with the finger on the Function key.

Okay, it's still not working control wise. Do I need to put it in /S/L/E/ or another directory?

Right, I tried using the method described above, but I still dont have control either in keyboard or in settings. Does anyone have the injection kexts or ACPI's I can use to try and manually patch it within OS X? Everything else is working fine, its just this one snag.

Okay Good news! I hand copied the ACPI and patches from the post file to the main boot up, and were in business! I'm going to attempt the brightness fix now and will return with further results. 10.13.6 update also works without any issue.

This gets me stuck at Half an apple bar booting from Hard Drive, and verbose results in in freezing around "apfs innode" or "creating ramdisk /var/log " for setup.

Once again, I can however use this and then boot in with the config_post.plst that I posted in the same zip file.  I've never encountered something this fickle. It seems to have something to do with loading APFS support but I cant pin what exactly is the magic touch of going through all those hoops. It's oblviously not the boot arguments, so what else could it be.

I can boot if I boot into the menu with the first one, but switch to post in the 2nd. I think It has something to do with the boot arguments but I am not sure. Whenever I boot from the config_post.plst directly I get a non themed, improper resolution, and non bootable system. So I need some pointers how to get a themed, autobooting, and proper resolution and boot args from the 1st, but the readings and proper post menu booting from the 2nd.

But it doesn't work. I need to combine the two kekts there. One works to boot and one (Post) works to get to the desktop. Can you help with that at least please, or is it something silly needed to be done in configurator or a text editing tool?

This gets me to DMOS has arrived, can you try using this method EFI.zip ? I can boot into this if I use the provided boot, but switch to config_post.plst, yet there still isn't any brightness support.

Is there a way to combine these two (themes and boot arguments of the first but main components of the _post) as well as a valid brightness control kext? I'm so close!

Here are the 3 permutations and the findings I discovered using the methods

Clover Permutations EFI's.7z
Default Clover EFI Install with HPFSPlus64.EFI & Kexts
Result Install VM Swap Substem is On
Result HDD Bypassed Verbose startup, hanged on apple screen.

2.Updated Clover EFI from Fourm PKG with HPFSPlus64.efi
Result Install Creating ram Disk for /var/log/
Result HDD Posts from Verbose, but hangs a little under the Apple boot screen.

3. Hybrid of Fresh Clover EFI install with Fourm .plst’s and kexts
Result Install Restore environment is starting
Result HDD 1st time was 16550AF Apple 0UART SYNC.
2nd time is Complete success HOWEVER I used the boot arguments of the files provided with the files clover generated.  Further more the brightness is still dim as it was during the first boot post install, as well as having some dead zones for the touch screen (in the upper third part of the screen)

With this in mind I’d appreciate some aid in generating a more specific kext set, with brightness support, fixed touch screen calibration, theme, non verbose, and auto boot / 1 second boot time, without the risk of breaking the kexts.

Im 75% sure it has something to do with the APFS, as when I tried to do a fresh re-load of the boot loader, I accidently clicked the APFS loader, and even after removing the EFI and replacing it, it may still have lingers. I would really just like a preloaded pack as it would save me a lot of effort of having to hash together the old and new plsts, themes, kexts, and EFI's.

I plan on posting three other permutations soon and their hang spots.

So after the install, the brightness is still dim and I get stuck mid boot. Any way to fix that?

Yup it worked! It turns out I needed to use the plst included with the latest version of clover instead of with the zip packages. Who knew. All thats left is to replace that wifi!

Unfortnatlety This doesn't help. Still cant boot.

What about the drivers posted on this forum. I installed the latest clover with settings to the usb, but I dont know what kexts I need to use here or to be updated (be it from this fourm or otherwise).

I appolgise for the necrobump, but is there a link to the most recent tutorial or clover package? Whenever I do mine It hangs on various points like  APFS module start appleUSBHostresources0, VM subsystem is on (I disabled VT-D), or Restore Environment Starting. Is this a bad USB drive or an issue with the most recent debug EFI package?
