  1. i check my ethernet hardware is  " Broadcom NetXtreme BCM5761 PCI-E GE"

    and get the BCM offical drive list, doesn't have OSX drive, only windows.

    i get the ethernet dirver from 6230.zip and put it to /Library/Extension/  change owner and permission follow the EI tutoral from Jake Lo.  but i doesn't get the Ethernet item from apple icon/system property/netowrk/,

    i guess my ethernet hardward doesn't drive.

    what i can do? please help me. thank you very much.

    thanks for your help,  using ifconfig to check my network, there is a en1, and no en0, so i follow your step,

     delete the interfacts from prefpane + plist as you said, reboot, then check there is en0 only that is wifi adapter. but i still can't login app store.

    i have some mistake?  any idea to help me? my laptop is Latitude E5430  (very like 6230).

    in adation, when i create a connect in network settings panel, there is no ethernet, only, vpn, 6 to 4, vpn, and 802.11n NIC

  3. Hi, it's very simple: Intel cards are not (usually/longer) supported by Mac OS X, so you'll have to take that card out.

     

    Replace it with a supported model:

    - 'G' (54Mbps) Broadcom-based (BCM4311/4312) cards such as Dell DW1390, DW1395, DW1490, etc.

    - 'N' (270-300Mbps) Broadcom-based (BCM4321/4322/94321/94322) cards such as Dell MX846 (DW1505?), etc.

    - non Dell-branded (eg: HP, Asus, Apple) but nevertheless Broadcom-based cards

    - some Atheros cards (but I'm not familiar with those devices)

     

    You need a full-size mini PCIe card, not a half-size one (at least not without an adapter).

    thank you for you great work, now need your help.

    i follow the instrumentation to install os x Lion on my D630 and run install_EDP.dmg to fix driver issues and install chameleon,

    sond, video, wired-ethernet, work normally, now i write the topic on the special mac.

    but wifi can't work. how to make wifi to work.

     

    i have already enable the wifi switcher on the left of D630

     

    i get my wifi info like this.

    this issues is solved,

    i change a usb-wifi adapter and download the driver form the official web site.

    i using the 8188CUS, driver link is :

    about how to check the wifi adapter spec, i take the adapter to ubuntu and get the hardware info.

    thank you all the member who help me, and all the forum member support the great tool which let me using the mac os.
