Hello everybody,
I have a problem regarding the installation of ox Sierra on the E6420. I've done everything according to instructions like this: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/8506-dell-latitude-inspiron-precision-clover-guide/I also downloaded the EFI to the Clover and the Kext for OSX Sierra for E6420. The bios settings are correct, but it will hang when you load the installation. I have times a picture attached to the log, perhaps you know what I can still make. -
yes i have ^^ i have attached a picture
--------------
Update:
The problem was due to my audio drivers. Still had an outdated. Thanks Jake Lo now everything works. The thread can be marked as solved. Perhaps equally renamed "General error update to El Capitan" or so. Many many thanks Jake Lo. ^^

A small question I have and that which wireless card can I install? Intel is not supported. -
Here is the output from Terminal
Schmidts-MBP:~ schmidtrobert$ sudo chmod -Rf 755 /L*/E* Schmidts-MBP:~ schmidtrobert$ sudo chown -Rf 0:0 /L*/E* Schmidts-MBP:~ schmidtrobert$ sudo touch -f /L*/E* Schmidts-MBP:~ schmidtrobert$ sudo chmod -Rf 755 /S*/L*/E* Schmidts-MBP:~ schmidtrobert$ sudo chown -Rf 0:0 /S*/L*/E* Schmidts-MBP:~ schmidtrobert$ sudo touch -f /S*/L*/E* Schmidts-MBP:~ schmidtrobert$ sudo kextcache -Boot -U / rebuilding //System/Library/PrelinkedKernels/prelinkedkernel IOKitWaitQuiet() timed out. kext-dev-mode allowing invalid signature -67062 0xFFFFFFFFFFFEFA0A for kext IOAHCISerialATAPI_Injector.kext /System/Library/PrelinkedKernels/prelinkedkernel not cached. works ever perfect Thanks ^^. Only the Audio Drivers I like not. Now have to taken out of the boot pack LE folder but nothing goes. I have no disable cache in Clover Bootscreen ^^
-
ok, thanks. The Vodoo kext resolved the problem with drackpad and keyboard. What solve the Problem with cpus=1 ? ^^ The Vodoo kext too?
-
Sorry for the Bad question ^^"" how did i reboot without cache?
-
I use the Bootpack from here https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/8506-dell-latitude-inspiron-el-capitan-clover-guide/&do=findComment&comment=54621(E6420)
Update:
I have now reinstalled everything, now the touchpad and keyboard goes, however, I still have the boot process the command cpus = 1 enter. Unfortunately, the audio driver is also missing.

ok, but when I get in /Library/Extension/ shove into it, that I should install these. If I install the kext Wizard and rewrite the cache leave, Capitan not boot. Also no longer with cpus = 1
-
ah sorry my fault, BIOS had changed it.But once another question, namely: Why does not the keyboard and trackpad after installation? In Installer it worked without problems, but when the installation is finished and I work in the El Capitan boats both keypad the trackpad. What could this be?

I've also installed and has been successful, however, he writes to the SSD no bootloader. Thus, a start without Install USB stick is not possible.

I have a problem and although when I install the bootloader Clover, comes the reboot, that it can not find the bootloader. Is there a solution for this?
