Hi, i use dell latitude 3340 with el capitan 10.11.5 for a couple month. almost work stable even with parallel desktop windows 10. But sometimes i get stuck black screen after bar loading start. I cant do anything except to hold the power off. Power up again and everything normal again. I ofter get the black screen expecially when the fist boot. there is no apple logo at boot screen, it just bar loading with a glitch image but after loading bar complete login screen was perfect. i used clover 3340 as recommend in this thread. is there any solution to fix this bug?

Confirm from tech support the driver can not support el capitan. Waiting for the new release driver

Yes i have logged as administrator and i can install other application with my user ID. i have thick mark allow everywhere in security but still can not continue. I the main page support until 10.10 i dont know if this driver work on 10.11 too.

i Have check the driver from TP-Link but when i try to install. i can not continue the proses cause there is no option to choose destination. Please see attach

I try to generate ssdt. Now it's not restart anymore when usb wifi plug in. But can not wake when idle long time with solid power button. i tried change hibernate to 0 but nothing work. Still can not wake. Is it problem with usb wifi? cause i dont have any issue if i dont use it.

Hi, I'm using el capitan 10.11.3 on my dell 3340 with EFI Clover based on this link. Everything work except the wifi but i have issue with sleep. When i click sleep laptop was sleep but for a long time it's restart. When i close the lid, laptop sleep with power indicator on but when i click power, click mouse or press keyboard can not wake again. i use TPlink WN723N with all in kext for realtek and issue only appear when i plug USB Wifi How can i fix this issue? it is use normal darkwake on config.plist

Hi Jake, i think i made a mistake with rename appleHDA_Alc255 to appleHDA and copy to /S/L/E. i have revert it back and copy again Applehda_alc255 to /L/E and do permission again. Now It's Wok both for internal speaker and headset jack. Thanks Jake

Hi Jake, i have place the kext ApplHDA_ALC255 to /L/E and do repair permission and restart but still no sound output

is it ok if i use that kext file for 10.11.3? Can i install with kext installer? Does i need to remove kext AppleHDA from clover?

hi, i have successful install el capitan 10.11.3 on my latitude 3340. I use clover EFI boot attached in this link https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/8506-dell-latitude-inspiron-el-capitan-clover-guide/ all most work fine except wifi and sound. for wifi i could use USB Wifi and that not a big problem. But no sound output from speaker or headset. It has sound only when i plug in to HDMI with my lcd TV. I read for el capitan 10.11.4 there is a new kext for ALC 255. Can i use that kext to enable sound output? or there is other setting need to enable audio output? thank you
