  1. Although I have a patched HDA which is working fine in El Capitan I believe I need an updated one as part of the fix to get HDMI audio working.

In the past I have tried patching a new HDA with information from my working one but never got it to work.

I have decided to try from scratch following this guide but just do not understand how to correct the verbs.

Is it something only programmers can understand? is there any point me (a non coder) trying to understand this part?

So far I have done a codec dump in Linux and sorted out all the pin complex parts that had a control name.

I have then listed the node, pin default and extracted the verb data.

I now need them corrected, could someone take a look and perhaps explain in plain english how they corrected them.

    I'd be most grateful.

    Mike.

  2. Hi, I have an Acer V5-171 with an Elantech touchpad, not sure which version.

Up to now I have been running ML 10.8.4 with the ML kexts and my trackpad has been working fine.

I recently updated to Mavericks and the trackpad still worked fine, however other things didn't and I ended up doing a fresh install.

Now the trackpad won't two finger scroll or allow dragging :(

The old ML kexts won't work at all (No mouse) and newer versions work as mouse and the pref pane shows all the options but is missing scrolling and dragging.

I installed by removing ACIPS2Nub and installing the two kexts to /System/Library/Extensions and then repairing permissions and re-booting.

    Am I missing something?

  3. Hi everyone, first post here.

I have successfully got 10.8.3 running on my Acer V5-171 notebook.

Well actually I do have one last problem that's why I'm here.

My internal mic is not working.

The sound card is an ALC 269 and I am using HDA, HDAEnabler and IOAudioFamily by AmeerSaeed.

I have only had my DSDT altered to allow sleep (By someone else)

Could someone have a look at my DSDT and see if there is anyway of getting the mic to work?

    Mike
